QB Brady Cook, NYJ (5 Viewers)

Harrison Glaser
Aaron Glenn on Brady Cook: #Jets

"Now this week he's had a chance to get all the reps with the 1's, get a a chance to communicate with the OL, with the receivers, with the TEs, with the coaching staff on exactly how we want to go about playing this game. I have all the confidence in the world in him, that's something I've stated from the very beginning. He'll be a good player in this league, & he'll have his opportunity again this week."

He's barely taken first string reps in practice all year. Note the quote above.

He looked bad last week. Typical rookie type bad.
Two fumbles two INTs and then 163 yards of can do determination.

He's a UDFA that has a real fire to him. Famously he left a college game, went to the hospital, and returned to play and win. There's a lot to like about the kid as a project. I don't know that he's anything for today.

There's 10k inexperienced rookie QB things he does that everyone here can just assume he did. Very typical nerves and such.

If you scripted things and it wasn't due to injury, maybe he gets a start or two late in a losing season. That goal is to get him to calm down, call the offense, lead, make OL or route adjustments and that's it. It's not 300 yards or four TDs.

The kid is gonna sling it though and we'll have to see if he can do that or it's all too much for him just yet.

All this Phillip Rivers talk and how he barely had time to prepare- it's about the same here
