Carson Wentz completed 24-of-32 pass attempts for 228 yards and two touchdowns in the Colts' 27-17, Week 4 win over the Dolphins.
Wentz got the job done but it wasn't always pretty. He took a pair of sacks in the first half and looked shaken up at one point but the Colts' three-score lead in the second half made his job fairly easy. Both of his scores wound up in the hands of Mo Allie-Cox. Wentz avoided the big mistakes that plagued him last year but still looks limited by his ankle issues and failed to make any big-time throws versus Miami. He'll get a massive test in Week 5 as he and the Colts will travel to Baltimore to face the Ravens. In a difficult matchup, Wentz can only be trusted as a low-end QB2 next week.
You have to wonder a little about the implications of his playing time? Some trade stipulations based on his playing time will determine if Colts give up a second or a first next year. Could be that he has an extended case of the “cooties” once he’s played about 60-70 percent of the snaps. Indianapolis doctor diagnosis of course. How long before he misses games because of COVID because he refuses to get vax? I think he's a selfish player. He never missed a game and when he went out against the Rams we were still in the game and he was walking on the sidelines. Not saying he wasn't hurt, but could he have toughed it out? I don't know, but I'm skeptical.
I thought that may be the Colts' play when he opted for the surgery before the season, but then he came back to start week 1. Then he sprained both ankles and misses no time. At this point I don't think we could say the Colts are trying at all to lower that pick. You have to wonder a little about the implications of his playing time? Carson Wentz (ankles) returned to a full practice on Thursday for the first time since Week 1.
He's getting healthier and, hopefully, more mobile ahead of Monday night's matchup against the Ravens. The Colts quarterback will remain outside of the recommended fantasy starter zone until we actually see him raise his ceiling, but at the very least this should help restore his ability to add a couple of fantasy points on the ground.

Carson Wentz completed 25-of-35 passes for 402 yards and two touchdowns in the Colts' 31-25, Week 5 loss to the Ravens Monday night.
Wentz turned back the clock to his pre-injury form in this one, as this was arguably his best performance from him in recent memory. His two touchdowns were 76- and 42-yard hookups to Jonathan Taylor on a screen and Michael Pittman on a deep shot where Pittman manhandled the defensive back for the ball. Wentz came into this one with just one 250-yard passing game on the season, so this obviously marks his best single-game output of the year. The Colts jumped out to a 22-3 lead in the third quarter but then sat on the ball and played scared, allowing the Ravens to devour them. Wentz has three multi-touchdown games and will be a mid-range QB2 in a plus draw against the Texans in Week 6.

Kicker and ST cost them 7 points and the defense collapsed after injuries.Don’t think the loss was his fault at all
You think they lose if he doesnt fumble in the red zone?Don’t think the loss was his fault at all
Sorry I missed this oneYou think they lose if he doesnt fumble in the red zone?

Carson Wentz completed 17-of-26 passes for 150 yards and two touchdowns in the Colts' Week 7 win over the 49ers.
Wentz added 23 yards on four carries, scoring on a goal-line run in the second quarter. His touchdowns were a red-zone throw to TE Mo Alie-Cox and a fade to Michael Pittman from 28 yards out. Wentz avoided throwing an interception for the fifth straight game but was charged with a fumble that was really a desperation pick trying to avoid a sack. Outside of that, this was another step forward for Wentz, who has won three of the last four games. The Colts get a matchup with the division-leading Titans in Week 8.

He's playing really well right now and this game vs Tenn has shootout potential. I have to decide between him and Cousins. How are folks feeling about the matchup with TEN this week? I can't believe the Titans defense is actually good, despite how they looked against KC.
Despite the general insanity of that game last night, I thought there was a lot to like. Granted he could have had three turnovers, but I'm willing to allow for the conditions. He's playing really well right now and this game vs Tenn has shootout potential. I have to decide between him and Cousins.
50 pt over under with Colts as -2.5 dogs. Not sure what to think as Tennessee has held up against BUFF and KC. The Colts will have some trouble this weekend if they don't stay committed to pounding with Taylor, but Taylor did not have a good game vs. Tennessee earlier this year. Basically the Colts are implied 22-23 points if you factor in home field advantage. This game could easily shoot out like the Bills game. I think the Colts are better than their record says. How are folks feeling about the matchup with TEN this week? Did he literal check out of 10 runs today or something? Wtf was that play calling ratio?
The worst part was today was like 70-80 snaps? Horrible. Run the ball more guys lolIf I'm Irsay, Wentz is benched until that 1st round pick is recouped. See what Elinger has to offer
He didn’t check out of a left handed hero ball pick 6 from his own end zoneDid he literal check out of 10 runs today or something? Wtf was that play calling ratio?
Carson Wentz completed 22-of-30 passes for 272 yards and three touchdowns in the Colts' 45-30, Week 9 win over the Jets, adding four rushes for 13 additional yards.
Smarting from a pair of humiliating turnovers in the Colts' Week 8 overtime loss to the Titans, Wentz bounced back against a "defense" that essentially let the Colts run a Saturday pre-game walk-through. The Colts posted 532 total yards and averaged 8.7 yards per play. The Jets might as well have had their scout team on the field. Wentz once again had an under-thrown deep ball or two, but he also once again struck up his connection with Michael Pittman in the end zone. His other scores were a shovel pass to Jack Doyle and end zone lob to tackle-eligible "Danny Pinter." Wentz didn't have to do much to be great this evening, but that will once again be the case in Week 10 when the Colts host Jacksonville. Wentz will be in the low-end QB1 mix for that one.

What was the issue with philly? Just horrible infrastructure and run it’s course? Wentz prior game I thought was ok but too much pass volumeFor those who are unaware Wentz has a higher QBR than Mahomes, Prescott, Burrows, and Herbert
Currently 11th in the league. Definitely worth a first.
FF wise, QB13 in 4 pt formats, and QB8 the last 5G despite last week. 17-4 TD/INT is more like the old Carson, and def better than what anyone predicted this summer.
Carson was terrible last year, 15 interceptions in 12 G. Every offensive lineman besides Kelce spent time on the IR, Wentz was constantly under pressure. No true WR1. They could have had Jefferson and Metcalf, instead they drafted Reagor and JJAW. Complete dumpster fire season all around. What was the issue with philly? Just horrible infrastructure and run it’s course? Wentz prior game I thought was ok but too much pass volume
Carson Wentz completed 18-of-28 passes for 225 yards, two touchdowns and zero interceptions in the Colts' 22-16, Week 16 win over the Colts.
Wentz was playing behind a makeshift offensive line that included three second-string linemen and a third-string guard. He had a great game within that context. Wentz hit T.Y. Hilton for a one-yard TD and hit Dezmon Patmon in the back of the end zone on a 20-yard rope. He also ran the ball down to the one-yard line, but that play was called back due to a holding penalty. Wentz doesn't have a ton of upside as a game-manager in a Jonathan Taylor-led offense. But he could be in for a solid day against the Raiders in Week 17.

NFL Network is not confirming one way or another. He could be a close contact, which would change everything. And with new USA protocols, NFL will likely follow suit.NFL network is saying not out if protocols change.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the NFL and NFLPA are "getting close" to adopting the new CDC guidelines that would reduce the quarantine time to five days from 10 days for all players, including those who are unvaccinated.
Unvaccinated players like Carson Wentz would then luck out and be eligible to return within a five-day period if testing positive at the beginning of the week. Assuming the revised COVID-19 protocols are agreed upon by Tuesday, numerous players that have tested positive in the last week could be removed from their organization's COVID lists ahead of Sunday. Stay tuned.

He weighed his option and he thought it was in his best interest not to get jabbed. Selfish? I respect his decision as he thought the side effects were not worth the risk.I believe I mentioned this earlier in this thread. Didn’t we know this was going to happen eventually? Selfish, selfish, selfish for not being vaccinated. I hope they go out and get a good QB this off-season if possible. Wentz is the best they have right now, but I hope that changes next year. Did I mention he is selfish?
