QB Jayden Daniels, WAS (3 Viewers)

Grant Paulsen
Too early to know exactly what’s going on with Jayden Daniels, but I’ve heard he got an MRI on his knee today after getting banged up last night in Green Bay. Was limping pretty good at the end of the game.

Worth keeping tabs on for sure.
Oh shhheeiiiiittt
Almost like he shouldn't have been out there in a meaningless situation down 3 scores with 4 minutes left.

I feel like I've seen this thread before..... its like the coaches never learn do they?

You know, you would think the coaches - Kliff and Dan, would have thought about maybe adding some wrinkles this year to get ahead of the rest of the league watching tape on Jayden. Is that too much?

The play calling was not only abysmal, it looked like they ran the same damn play over and over with small changes like pass or hand it off. Terrible.

This is one of the potential potholes of the Dan Quinn/Kliff Kingsbury pairing as HC/OC that isn't getting enough attention:

Dan Quinn, being a HC who's expertise derives from the defensive side of the LOS, probably is giving KK much autonomy in regards to running the offense.

It's a verified thing, that KK's offenses get off to fast starts, and crap out as they're figured out, and he does little to nothing to adjust - both in-game, and over the course of the Season. Happened for sure in Arizona.

KK would probably be better served under an Offensive-minded HC. I was hoping that adding Deebo, drafting Lane, and the expected development of LMcC and Sinnott would be enough to stimulate his creative juices, but I'm not sure now.

Losing JAG BRob didn't bother me. Losing Ekeler bothers me a great deal.

Kliff Kingsbury: Needs oversight. Needs an ombudsman.

Could be a long year.

Jay Glazer: Jayden Daniels is “day-to-day” with his knee. Going to take a look at him tomorrow.

I think thats code for we are not making a determination at this time.

sometimes the swelling is too much to get a good read.

the other possibility is they know the result but are not announcing it until they secure another QB via trade. I hope this isnt the case, but in some cases I've seen the players replacement acquired and the injury announcement conveniently comes out after the trade is made.

it could be. but it was just ambiguous enough that he could backtrack if he needs to.

When you come into the season with Daniels and Burrow as your QBs, you assume you’re set at the position. Terribly unlucky how everything unfolded.

That said, I’m optimistic that Daniels will plsy. He has extra time to recover and QBs often play through mild sprains. Just don’t expect a big rushing total (assuming he’s a go).

Same here. What a nut shot this week.

Even if he plays with a bum knee, there goes the rushing production.

If Daniels plays next week with a sprained knee he's going to get killed if Kingsbury doesn't change his play calling.
Agreed but sounds like that change is coming, and Mr. Bill is going to get the workload, whether he's ready or not. Sounds like they planned to slowly move him into the starters roll, but that's now moved to warp speed with Ekeler on IR.
