This is one of the potential potholes of the Dan Quinn/Kliff Kingsbury pairing as HC/OC that isn't getting enough attention:
Dan Quinn, being a HC who's expertise derives from the defensive side of the LOS, probably is giving KK much autonomy in regards to running the offense.
It's a verified thing, that KK's offenses get off to fast starts, and crap out as they're figured out, and he does little to nothing to adjust - both in-game, and over the course of the Season. Happened for sure in Arizona.
KK would probably be better served under an Offensive-minded HC. I was hoping that adding Deebo, drafting Lane, and the expected development of LMcC and Sinnott would be enough to stimulate his creative juices, but I'm not sure now.
Losing JAG BRob didn't bother me. Losing Ekeler bothers me a great deal.
Kliff Kingsbury: Needs oversight. Needs an ombudsman.
Could be a long year.
