He's a rookie and he already looks like the seasoned version of Lamar Jackson. Imagine what happens when they start adding more weapons around him and he gets more NFL experience under his belt. He needs to learn how to protect himself a little better, but dang he's good. The NFL needs more players like Daniels. He's a joy to watch.

Fellow Daniels starters: Are we tired of winning yet?
Didn't see the game, but looking at the box score, seems they took their foot off the gas once they were up 20. Almost lost the game against the friggin Saints and their 2nd and 3rd string QBs.

Need a complete game next week. Tough game against the Eagles. Get it done!

Very well stated. He has "it".

I like Daniels...I've ridden him this year. Been awesome to have skin in the game with him.

I'm sure alot of people said the same thing about CJ Stroud last year. Just be careful on 2nd year QB's...an offseason of film dissection by NFL DC's & coaching staff can yield disappointment. They don't call it a sophomore slump for nothing.

Yep. I love watching him play. I don't any shares of him this year in any format, regrettably. Still, I like watching him play. Some players just never end up on your fantasy team, but it doesn't mean you can't appreciate what they do.

Maybe, but Daniels' dual threat abilities make him different. Outside of the rib injury, he's shown no evidence of hitting a rookie wall, he's getting better. Until teams show me they can stop the likes of Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, Hurts, etc, I'm not all that worried about Daniels. He can make every throw, and he's dangerous on his feet. I'll just say this, it's week 16 now and teams have plenty of tape on him. He'll be viewed by defenses the same way they view Lamar Jackson. Pick your poison and hope for the best. He'll need more weapons, but I'm sure Washington understands this.

Washington has the 4th most cap space in 2025. I expect them to spare no expense building around Daniels in the offseason.

They need to make a big play for Higgins.

I'm not sure backing up the Brinks truck for him is the wisest move. His career trajectory and availability week to week is suspect. There are a enough bad teams with big contracts that you might be able to land a star through a trade. Tyreek Hill? If I was able to play GM for a minute, I would make a splash play to trade up for McMillan or Hunter. The free agent market for WRs in 2025 is lukewarm at best, which means someone is going to have to pay through the nose for Higgins who I personally don't think is worth that type of contract. I think giving that type of money has the potential to set you back years, and that's not a risk I would be willing to take. The 2026 free agent class looks more promising from stars to up and comers to role players, guys like Watson or Pierce may be had for a late round draft pick if the teams see the writing on the wall. Both teams are flush at the WR position and both players could excel with an expanded role with a QB like Daniels. One thing to keep in mind is Terry will also be looking for his last big contract at the start of next season and they'll have to make a decision on him. TBH, this feels more like a situation that needs to be aggressively addressed through the draft because most of the difference makers in 2026 aren't going anywhere. Chase, Metcalf, London, Wilson, etc.

Didn't take their foot off the gas. In fact, they went for the jugular but failed to execute. In the fourth quarter, Daniels just barely overthrew Terry on a bomb for a TD on one drive. On the next drive, the Saints blew a coverage and Terry dropped what would have been another long TD. A few plays later, Terry beats his man deep but Daniels' pass is underthrown and he can't haul it in. He could have easily added another 100+ yards and two TDs to Terry in the fourth quarter.

Have been wavering each week starting Mahomes or Daniels and have started the wrong one each week ... time to deal or sit Mahomes and ride Daniels in the playoffs!!
i'm 2 for 12 choosing between him and Mayfield every week. Impressive.
you gotta remember, hes still a rookie. so the level of consistency wont be what you want. and Mayfield is..... Mayfield. but with a shortage of healthy WR to throw to. its a tough decision almost every week.

Agreed, but I feel much more confident in Mayfield today. That Eagles defense is a beast whereas...Dallas? Ha.

Tomorrow's game will be rough.
How so? What are you predicting?
I'll go with 24 of 32 for 220 yards, 2 TDs, 1 INT with 10 carries for 45 yards, maybe a rushing TD in what will likely be a losing effort.
If you can guarantee that for Daniels today ... I would take it now!
I'm happy to report that he exceeded expectations ... again!
Never heard back from the original doomsday guy

Not sure we will. But I hope he comes in here next week and makes the same doomsday prediction

It was a tough game, and I'm thrilled he did well. Got the win with his performance and sent a few colleagues, all hardcore Eagles fan, into a tizzy. Overall, a good day.

Lame, I wanted to hear the prediction before the game.

Thoughts on QB being one of 2 keepers? I always lean towards RB or WR, but Daniels very well may take me to the promised land this season. He's got a rare skillset.

His arm talent, his running ability, his poise and maturity, his ability to operate effectively within the flow of the game, the way he speaks and treats people, it's all off the charts, nothing is too big for him - and the guy is a rookie. The sky's the limit, he could be the next great one.

His 10 pt drive in OT enabled me to win with Amon Ra tonight. Thanks JD! you’re my rookie keeper and happy to have you (from a guy who NEVER keeps QBs)

He went 1.2 in a SF Dynasty Startup that I'm in right now. I was hoping he'd fall a little farther in the 1st so I could snag him. Dang it. :kicksrock:And he went BEFORE Josh Allen
