QB keeper question: thinking of not keeping Mahomes?! (1 Viewer)

In a 12-team, H2H 0.5ppr league (Yahoo standard scoring) with QB-2RB-3WR-TE-D-K and 6 bench spot roster.  For my keeper at QB, I can go with either Mahomes (6th round cost) or Watson (14th round).  Thoughts?

Keeper rules: can keep three players from previous year's roster (one maximum from any position); keeper cost is either last year's draft round minus 2 (meaning no one drafted in first two rounds can be kept).  Players pulled from waiver wire that were undrafted would by default cost a 15th rounder.  You can keep a player for up to three consecutive seasons (the cost for each subsequent year is minus 1 round in cost from the previous year).  I'm pretty much locked into my RB keeper (Chubb) and still debating between my WR keeper (Galloway vs Boyd).

Mahomes for me in that scenario.

Mahomes.

I wouldn't trade away Mahomes for Watson & a 6th, especially after keepers have pushed down the value of the 6th rounder.

Tough call without knowing your keeper requirements and if your league has a habit of keeping QB's. If you have to keep one than keeping Mahomes is the best thing unless you can trade him to someone for a 2nd, 3rd or 4th round pick.  I traded Mahomes for a 4th round pick in my main 2 player keeper league in which I'm planning on keeping 2 RB's where with the QB depth this year it is really stupid to keep a QB.

Given those choices I would keep Mahomes but you didn't really give any other options or scenarios as to what your keeper restrictions are so hard to give more defined advice.

i'd keep Mahomes, i wouldn't worry about the difference b/t a 6th and a 14th.

Once Hill was allowed back, there is no reason to not keep Mahomes.  Too many weapons.

And I am a big Watson fan, have him on 3 teams.   Mahomes can win multiple weeks for you.
