QB Mike Glennon, NYG (2 Viewers)

Are they like trying to get a head start on next year's tanking?

Dumb Q - is he still under contract for next year? Is this an audition some sorta mentor/Fitz thing?  Guess they really do see that much of a difference in the locker room.

Glennon is a UFA in 2021. He almost certainly won’t be re-signed.

Minshew and Luton are still on their rookie deals.

New regime will determine if a “veteran” presence is needed in the QB room.

Joe Burrow did just fine this year with Brandon Allen and Finley holding the clipboard.

Okay so it really is a whatever kind of start.  Thanks :)

Yeah - obv the coach really think he gives them the best chance which is at odds with the numbers.  I would think the Colts will happily face Glennon.

Mike Glennon completed 26-of-42 passes for 261 yards and two touchdowns in the Jaguars' Week 17 loss to the Colts.

Signed to a one-year, $1.1 million contract this offseason, Glennon went 0-5 in his five starts for the Jaguars in 2020, tossing seven touchdowns to five interceptions. Glennon will be playing for his sixth team in six years when he signs for near the veteran minimum in free agency. He’s an uninspiring backup with a career 6.4 yards per attempt.

Mike Glennon competed 16-of-25 pass attempts for 196 yards, a touchdown, and two interceptions in the Giants' Week 5 loss to the Cowboys.

Glennon kept the New York offense afloat for a while after Daniel Jones exited with a concussion, but succumbed to awful game script and a Cowboys defense just waiting for an errant throw. Glennon threw a couple almost-interceptions before the Cowboys picked one for a late touchdown to seal the game. Glennon's heavy targeting of Kadarius Toney -- before he was ejected from the game for punching a Dallas player -- could be a nice development for the rookie if he avoids a a suspension from the league (or his head coach). Glennon has a nightmare matchup next week against the Rams if Jones is unable to suit up.

NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports Mike Glennon is expected to start Week 13 against the Dolphins.

Daniel Jones is considered week-to-week after suffering a neck strain in the Week 12 win over the Eagles. Jones didn't miss a snap Sunday, but the injury is severe enough to put Glennon under center for at least one game and possibly more. Glennon appeared in one game earlier this season, going 16-of-25 for 196 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions against the Cowboys in Week 5. Glennon's insertion under center is a significant downgrade, even from Jones.

Giants coach Joe Judge said he is "optimistic" that Mike Glennon will clear concussion protocol before the team's Week 14 game against the Chargers.

Glennon is expected to start if he clears concussion protocol. Jake Fromm is currently getting the starting reps in practice. Fromm, a second-year quarterback from Georgia, spent his rookie season in quarantine while on the Bills' roster. He was their emergency option should a COVID outbreak run through the team's quarterback room. This means he has no in-game experience and few practice reps under his belt. While Glennon is an unappealing backup, the dip to Fromm could be disastrous.

Mike Glennon (concussion) is "moving in the right direction" to start Sunday's game against the Chargers.

Although he is officially "limited," Glennon will "be available for everything" Thursday, with the idea being he will be "full" on Friday. Glennon initially seemed to have little shot at suiting up, but he is now the favorite over emergency option Jake Fromm. Facing a good pass defense with nearly his entire skill corps banged up, Glennon is a desperation superflex option.

Mike Glennon completed 17-of-36 passes for 191 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception in New York's embarrassing 37-21 Week 14 loss to the Chargers.

Glennon also scrambled in for a seven-yard touchdown with 1:18 remaining in the fourth quarter as Joe Judge used all three of his timeouts with less than four minutes remaining of a 37-7 blowout to make the team's embarrassing loss appear reasonable. Their effort is best described by the opening possession, punting the ball into the end zone on 4th-and-2 from midfield. Glennon connected with Kyle Rudolph for a 60-yard completion in the first quarter but was useless otherwise. Fullback Elijah Penny, TE Chris Myarick, and LT Andrew Thomas have more touchdowns than either Kenny Golladay or Kadarius Toney this year. The Giants are now 19-42 under Dave Gettleman and 10-19 under Joe Judge and will, for whatever reason, be allowed to play professional football again in Week 15.
