For now, he's in my lineup over Rodgers. I can't come up with a reason that Fitzpatrick can't at least break even, but then again...thinking of starting him over Aaron Rodgers
That wasn't a pretty limited Jets team. He had Brandon Marshall, Eric Decker, Quincy Enunwa and Jeremy Kerley at WR and Bilal Powell and Chris Ivory in the backfield. They did not have a good TE but were stacked at WR and it was Marshall and Decker often bailing him out on 50/50 balls with their size and strength.Fitzpatrick threw for 31 TDs and almost 4000yds on a pretty limited Jets team in 2015.
BOO!! Get outta here with your level-headed analysis and historical accuracy, optimists only in here! That wasn't a pretty limited Jets team. Well, I will say that he's playing with an overall from top to bottom even better/more diverse supporting cast now.BOO!! Get outta here with your level-headed analysis and historical accuracy, optimists only in here!
I think most believe it won't last much longer. I mean even Monday night, it's all set up just a little too nicely and when has the expected ever happened in an NFL game? I think he comes back to earth this week though i'm hoping not, it's a nice story.Well, I will say that he's playing with an overall from top to bottom even better/more diverse supporting cast now.
Picked him up to do just that! Matchup is too juicy.Still thinking of starting him over Goff...
I like the piece that FBG did comparinf him to Watson last year. Everyone kept expecting him to come back to earth and he killed it all the way to his injury. Only have him in one league, with Goff and Winston, and gonna ride him till it ends.I think most believe it won't last much longer. Ryan Fitzpatrick - QB - Buccaneers
Ryan Fitzpatrick completed 30-of-50 passes for 411 yards, three touchdowns, and three interceptions in the Bucs' Week 3 loss to the Steelers.
Fitzpatrick became the first quarterback in league history to pass for 400 yards in three consecutive games. The night started slow for Fitzpatrick and the Bucs' offense, who went into the half trailing 30-10. Tampa Bay rallied and scored the final 17 points of the evening, though, falling just one Ben Roethlisberger scramble-and-heave to Juju Smith-Schuster away from getting the ball back and potentially pulling off the comeback win. Fitzpatrick has been absurd through three games, totaling 1,230 passing yards, 11 touchdowns, and four picks. With Jameis Winston set to return, only time will tell whether the record book's newest member will have a starting gig in Week 4.

Plus Godwin dropped two catchable balls in the end zone on drives where they settled for FGsTwo of the INT's weren't on him IMO. The pick 6 was.
Almost led them back from a huge deficit.
I think he's ok at the moment.
I'm going to agree after seeing the replays. His recievers stopped on the routes. Two of the INT's weren't on him IMO. The pick 6 was.

Yous said wait until he isnt playing with a lead...Good thing he threw that pick 6, right?
Okay. Whatever gets you off, buddyYous said wait until he isnt playing with a lead...
well, he was the #4 scoring QB of week 3 playing from behind. I know you dont like to admit when you're wrong (see Booker), so I'll do it for you, you were dead wrong on him
Ahem.Has a Blake Bortles circa 2015 feel to him this year. Slinging it, dug a big hole on MNF, almost climbed out of it.
I think we all expect him to implode (maybe in Nov & Dec? because he almost always does (sans the Jets miracle year), but gonna ride him over Wentz until he does.
Ryan Fitzpatrick - QB - Buccaneers
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports "all signs point" to Ryan Fitzpatrick starting Week 4 against Chicago.
This has been expected for awhile. With Tampa coming off a short week, Fitzpatrick is in line to make at least another start. It's his job to lose after three straight 400-plus yard games. The Bucs plan to use their roster exemption on Jameis Winston, so there might not be anything official until later in the week.

Fantasy wise any QB is gold with these receivers. Turning the ball over like Winston does, 59 in 45 games, only helps because you then have to score more. Fitz probably doesn't put those numbers up himself last week without the 3 turnovers. So let's suppose Fitz continues but gets himself into a mess or gets hurt in Chicago this week and the Bucs turn to Winston. Given the weapons at his disposal, is it reasonable to assume he steps in and throws in similar fashion i.e. a straight replacement fantasy-wise?
DRessing like McGregor for the press conference, he has to be the man in the locker man.Todem said:If Fitzpatrick has the locker room (which I am assuming he does) he is the starter if they continue to obviously have success. Full on QB controversy in Tampa Bay.
That was the outfit DeSean Jackson wore to the stadium. He told DeSean before the game, "when we win I'm wearing that to the press conference."DRessing like McGregor for the press conference, he has to be the man in the locker man.

Ouch.Lost by 0.5pts this week, because I started him over Goff.
FITZMAGIC
According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Ryan Fitzpatrick received a majority of the reps at Wednesday's practice.
Though the Bucs haven't made an official decision yet, all signs point to Fitzpatrick keeping his job for at least another week. It makes sense with Fitzpatrick off to the best start of his career and Jameis Winston coming off a three-week absence. The Bucs also have their bye coming up in Week 5, which would give Winston another week to get up to speed. FitzMagic's Week 4 matchup against Chicago poses a difficult challenge, though we said the same when the 35-year-old went up against the Saints and Eagles earlier this year and look how that turned out.
