This has been an ongoing discussion with some of my league mates and I.
Our league has bonuses for longer touchdowns, but yardage scoring is minimal.
Do you target or avoid possible QB/WR hook-ups? I am not talking about 2nd rate players, Hasselback to BMW. I mean stud QB & stud WR, or even a stud and his top available option....Manning/Wayne.
If so, who would you think would be hook-ups that you would target?
One last question, as it something I am currently mulling over....Does the possibility of trading a player that would give the other person a hook-up effect your opinion of making a trade or not?
My opinion...I have seen the advantages and disadvantages of both, as they could very easily carry your team on any given week. But if your tandem has a bad week, I have seen strong teams get taken down, especially in the playoffs. I think no matter how good your pair is, it still comes with a high boom/bust chance.
