Taking a quick look at the projections you have for the colts:
---Addai + Rhodes-> yields the exact # of touches as Edge last season as well as TD's and about 100 less yards. But a pretty solid combination as a replacement. The 40 extra touches from Rhodes last season are transferred to pass atts for manning. Rushes aside, receptions from the RB slot are more than covered by the Rhodes/Addai duo as are yards and TD's compared to the Edge/Rhodes combination. Herein a question lies:
1.) In the last two games of the 05 season where Rhodes got appreciable playing time, he revieved 6 and 4 receptions respectively. I wont make the claim that he will average 5 receptions a game but saying that he will average less than two a game this season when he is getting much much more playing time makes no sense to me.
--As for Manning, stats seem in order with a few exceptions. Completion % seems on the money as are his rushing stats, TD's dont seem out of the ordinary etc. But I have a few concerns about some other stats.
1.) 12 INT's dont seem out of the ordinary but when he hasnt had more than 10 in the past three years, 12 does seem a bit high. What do you attribute this to?
2.) On the same note, the TD/INT ratio is the lowest it has been in the last three years- can this be attributed to the same thing that is causing the INT's?
3.) Y/A are also the lowest they have been since 2002 but upon looking I saw the reason- Dallas Clark is projected for the same Y/A as is Marvin Harrison but it seems as if Reggie Wayne and Stokley are pegged for very low Y/A but with very similar numbers of receptions. Does the staff project any change in their offensive roles?
Answers to these questions would surely help me understand.
