Question for Saints homers (1 Viewer)

Sunday@1

Footballguy
It looks like I scored some tix for Sat's Eagles/Saints game. The best I could do was to fly into Baton Rouge on Saturday afternoon. How long will it take me to get from the BR airport to the stadium area and how early should I try to get to the park so it isn't last minute crazy?

I have never been to N.O. before and because of time restrictions will probably leave town on Sunday. Is there something around the stadium area that I should look for or stay away from provided I can get there long before kickoff?

Thanks!

If traffic isn't too bad, normally it would take around 90 minutes from Baton Rouge to downtown NOLA. I'd suggest getting to the Dome area by 5p to get parked.

There are several bands playing on the concourse outside the Dome on Saturday afternoon starting at 2p. The Quarter is a short walk from the stadium. Plenty of tailgating going on. So no lack of things to do pregame.Places to avoid ? Yeah, like any big city downtown stadium, there are some rough areas to avoid. You'll be able to tell.
