Can someone tell me what K Phillips- NYG is as of today? Thought he has being held out as a precaution inps - and hes ready to go.

Kenny Phillips-DB- Giants Sep. 8 - 2:22 pm et

Giants SS Kenny Phillips (knee) confirmed Wednesday that he's been informed he'll start in the opener.

Phillips says he's been "penciled in," but should play the vast majority of snaps after practicing in full for the past several weeks. Deon Grant, said to be "not too keen" on moving into the backup job, will be the No. 3 safety.
