Quick trade help (1 Viewer)

Pretty simple - I can get either Vlad or Alfonso Soriano for the rest of year - demand is not material - in fact, I will part with the same either way ( David Price and couple of future draft picks - I need one stick to win it all this year)

So, in a standard 5x5 who would you rather have the rest of the way ( yes, this is a keeper league, and I may keep this player - but I already have Holliday, Braun, Arod, Chris B. Young and Rios as keepers from last year) Vlad or A. Soriano?

I lean to Alfonso as he is younger and is playing in front of a sick lineup, but it is truly a close call.

Any and all input appreciated.

TIA

I like Soriano. Soriano seems to be playing with something to prove since coming back off the DL and he can absolutely carry a team in every category for stretches of time. I don't think this will end up being one of Vlad's best years because I don't think his BA will recover anywhere near where it has been the past few years. Also, Vlad has completely stopped attempting to steal and Soriano has not.

AS w the warm weather at Wrigley. He will start to tear it up even more in that lineup. You only have to worry about injuries.

I agree with the masses, Soriano in a no-brainer right now. The two were probably rated close to even before the season... why take the struggling guy over the hot one?

And even when Vlad gets going, his running days appear to be over. Soriano's swiped a couple bags over the last couple days, so maybe that calf is finally getting back to 100% percent and he can start running wild again.

i'd rather have soriano.

if average is a major need, i might consider vlad, but overall, it's soriano, especially in a keeper league.
