When using yahoo's free leagues, can the commish edit playoff matchups? Would much rather be able to handle tie-breakers at my discretion, rather than yahoo breaking ties by their rules.
Thank you for a reply. To clarify, I'm talking about playoff schedule. Can commish edit who plays who? I'd rather control the tiebreakers my way than some Yahoo default.
If your league uses divisions you can choose how teams are seeded for the playoffs using these three options:
Division winners advance and are assigned top seeds: The winners of each division will advance to the playoffs as the top seeds and the overall top division winner will be the #1 seed. All other playoff teams will be determined by overall standings regardless of division results.
Division winners advance but are seeded according to overall standings: The winners of each division will advance to the playoffs and all other playoff teams will be determined by overall standings. Playoff seeds will be determined by overall standings regardless of division results.
All teams seeded according to overall standings: All playoff seeds will be determined by overall standings regardless of division results.
If your league does not use divisions teams will be seeded according to overall standings.
However, as the Commissioner, you can edit team points for all previous weeks. So, by editing team points, you should be able to get the matchups you wish. However, understand that if you are not clear with all the league managers as to why you are doing this, what happened to Marie Antoinette will be peanuts compared to what they will want to do to you.
