STP is solid but not remarkable band. I do like them a lot but I would probably lean RH musically in this one despite STP being one of the last hold outs of the 80's rocker stereotypes.

STP got accused of ripping off PJ when they came out. Unfair as they had their own sound. Great band with great songs. A shame Weiland can't stay clean.

STP had some great guitar riffs such as in Wicked Garden. STP are not the musical geniuses that RH proclaim to be but STP is more of a straight-ahead rock and roll band that more people can enjoy.

Damn...Radiohead is getting abuses in these matchups
Entirely due to the average age around here.
how so?
People here trend older and so RH is a newer band losing to older bands (Rush, STP, etc)
What? Radiohead has been around for 30 years.
There artistic peak is late 90s, early 00s. That's a lot more recent then Rush, Floyd. STP was basically done as a legit band by the time Radiohead was just coming into their own.

This has to be trolling. They are the epitome of contemporaries. They both formed in 85 and then hit it big in 93. RH has lasted longer thanks to Scott's blow habit, but if you think STP is closer to Rush and Floyd (neither of which I can stand) then you are crazy.

I'd argue that was the commercial peak. Their artistic peak is still being discovered...

If we're doing beer analogies Radiohead would be a Habanero Mocha Blueberry Stout.

Absolutely terrible but beer nerds will tell you you don't understand the complexity

starting to wonder if the nickleback might not take down the beatles in a fbg poll.
I'd vote for nickleback over radiohead in a heartbeat.
thats ridiculous, and I hate Radiohead.
I really don't understand how people think it takes so much talent and artistry for Thom Yorke to whine at 50bpm. They make terrible music but are somehow still popular. They're the McDonalds and Bud Light of music.
