Matt Bryant's first miss of the season. Wow sloppy game so far.

And in unrelated news I have both of the players with the turnovers in every league I'm in.

Will try to keep it up as I can, hope it helps and is not too distracting or overload.

ATL 1st and 10

Ryan under center, drops back and delivers a nice strike downfield to Roddy White on the left sideline. Raiders called for roughing the passer for 15 yards. Ouch -- way to make a big play even bigger, Raiders.

1st and 10 at the Raider 39: Ryan another bomb down the middle of the field, picked off by Hough as the receiver was double covered, INT Raiders (Holding call on ATL declined).

Really bad decision by Ryan to try and push the tempo -- ended up pushing the pass into a bad spot.

Ryan -- 2 INTS in 4 attempts.

Raiders 1st and 1 at their own 1.

Palmer uses all the arm strenght he has down the right hand side to hit Denarius Moore, who gets ahead of the CB, even slowing a bit to make the catch. Wow. Raiders looking to go deep pass for deep pass with Ryan.

1st and 10 on ATL 49. McFadden with nowhere to run, loss of a yard.

2nd and 11: McFadden slanting out to the right for a pickup of 5

3rd and 4. Reverse to DHB to the left hand side, turns the corner and gets by some coverage, making people miss. Dante Robinson misses tackle, DHB gets a few more yards.

1st and 10. McFadden cut down at the line of scrimmage.

2nd and 9: Sorry, McFadden picked up a yard on that last play. Palmer backs out of the pocket, throws incomplete, penalties on the Raiders -- PI on TE Myers.

2nd and 19: Handoff to McFadden, defensive ends and tackles, esp. Babineaux, clot up the right side of the line and bring him down for a loss.

3rd and 20: Palmer backpedalling and short dump off pass over the middle is tipped, incomplete.

Seabass for a 52 yrd FG: GOOD!

3-0 Raiders

Atlanta looking shaky on offense, should probably be establishing the run more, as Raiders D still has trouble wrapping runners up.

ATL D looking good against the run, bottling up DMAC before he can get through the line, with decent penetration.

Raiders offense nothing special, but receivers, esp. Moore, making tough catches to get the job done.

ATL 1st and 10 at the 20:

Ryan under center, single back. Audibles at the line, Turner picks up a nice block on a blitzing LB up the middle. Roddy White comes back to make a catch on a deep out on the right side for 9.

End of 1st.

ATL 2nd and 1: Single back again, Ryan audibles again. 3 WR, Turner blows past the 1st down line and picks up about 6 more.

1st and 10 on the ATL 38: Ryan hands off to Turner again, who licks through tackles up the middle for 5.

2nd and 5: yet another single back set. Ryan drops back, hits Jones on the left side for a first down across midfield at the 48. 44 yards for Jones so far.

1st and 10: empty backfield, 4 receivers 2 on each dies. Ryan hits Douglas on an inside cross in a soft spot in coverage.

2nd and 2: empty backfiled, Ryan yelling "Gold Arizona!" Pocket collapsing, Ryan hits white on the right hand side, beating CB Huff playing him too far off.

1st and 10 on the 25. Ryan on a short pass to the near right side for 4.

2nd and 6: Empty backfield set again. Gold Arizona again. Julio Jones with a beautiful catch between 3 defenders for about 20.

1st and goal: Turner single back. Handoff to Turner, tries to bounce left but Seymour gets penetration and wraps him up.

2nd and goal: Single back again. Ryan back to pass, Roddy White crossing at the back of the endzone against zone coverage, making the catch, TD ATL.

7-3 ATL

Well that drive looked easy.
Sure did. Raiders looked like they couldn't contain receivers in zone coverage, Ryan picking his spots and hitting the receiver working the soft spots in the coverage. Well executed, and a solid way to regain momentum. This is the point of hte game where Raiders need to respond, as if they go 3 and out and Ryan does that again Raiders could start to fold.

Are these McFadden runs the same zone blocking schemes they've been using this season, or the power runs that were speculated they would implement over the bye week?

Raiders 1st and 10 on their own 20:

Split I, McFadden with some solid blocking around the left side, picks up the first down.

1st and 10: McFadden again on a power run left, picks up 1

2nd and 9: Quick pass to the right to Ausberry, fakes out CB coverage and runs upfield for the 1st down.

1st and 10: quick completion on a pass across the middle to Rod Streeter for 7 yards.

2nd and 3. Split I, McFadden running right with a big scamper, flag on the play, holding on offense (Smith) negates a huge gain. F. Terrible penalty to take.

2nd and 13. Split I, Palmer backpedling as pocket collapses, dumps on a screen to Goodson on the left, Goodson tears up field curling towards then away the sidelines, weaving through defenders for a big gain of 37 yards

Raiders 1st and 10 on the 19. Over the middle Moore wide open on a crossing pattern.

Raiders 1st and goal: Shotgun draw to McFadden who pounds up the middle to the 2.

2nd and goal on the 1 out of the I. Shift in the line to split back, motions back to an I, Palmer throwing trying to hit Myers in coverage. Safety makes a nice disruptive play.

3rd and goal: McFadden bounces out to the left but ATL D swarms him for a loss. Some great penetration and solid push off the line.

Seabass for 3, ATL 7-6.

Gotta question the Raiders having DHB in as an inline blocker on a goalline set...AND trying to run to his side

Mostly look like ZBS to me, anyway, with the Riaders trying to exploit more of the Inside and Outside zones instead of stretches. McFadden has actually looked pretty patient and speedy, with two of his most prominent gains called back by penalties.

ATL 1st and 10 on the 20 after a touchback.

Ryan under center, single back, motion to the right. Ryan pumps, pocket collapses, stumbles and is touched while down. Loss of 8, couldn't find any receivers.

2nd and 18 -- pass to Roddy White to the right hand side for short gain

3rd and 14: Ryan out of gun, misses Gonzo across the middle, but a huge killer defensive holding play on Wheeler, automatic first down.

1st and 10: Ryan out of gun again, Turner picks up the blitz, but great penetration by Raiders, hit Ryan as he threw, INT off a floater to Branch.

Here we go, Raiders, let's turn this turnover into money.

2nd and 7 from the 35. Single back, play fake to McFadden, hits Denarius Moore rolling out to the right, Moore jukes out the LB Peterson, Moore jets up the middle through the seams for a TD!

13-7 Raiders!

Waaaaaaaay to generous to Peterson in that call, he just missed.

ATL returns kick-off to the 22.

1st and 10 ATL: Singleback, Ryan under center, 4 receivers. Pocket collapses, Ryan dumps it over the middle to Jacquizz Rogers for a 5 yard gain.

2nd and 5: Ryan drops back, hits White deep on the right sideline, but Claybo called for holding, play called back. White looks like he can get by Huff with ease.

2nd and 15: Single back, 4 WRs. Ryan with a screen right side to Rodgers who bobbles and drops the pass. Looked like he started running before he had ball secure.

3rd and 15: Ryan from the Gun, motion right. Has a lot of time and hits Gonzo up the middle, zone defenders converge and bring Gonzo down short of the first down.

4th and 2, Raiders call TO to stop the clock.

That;s fair, though to be fair, I'm typing in real time, not really watching the replays. Moore looked like he was shifty on his feet throughout that play, making cuts left and right to get in the end zone, that's what I was reacting to.McFadden misses the opportunity to blow through a hole in the line, clock runs down, halftime.

Also, to be "fair," I'm clearly a Raider fan so yes, my recaps will carry that bias! ;)

Missed the second half opener, picking up on Raiders 2nd and 8: McFadden running around right side of line for 2.

3rd and 6. Palmer drops back, has time, tries to gun it to Denarius Moore on a pattern to the left sideline, incomplete. Good coverage by the CB.

Lechler punts, takes OAK bounce out of bounds at ATL 20.

1st and 10, Ryan under center. Turner loses yards as Raiders get a solid push through the middle and left side of the line.

2nd and 13, single back set, motion to a split right. Dump of over to Polite for a short gain on the right side.

3rd and 5: Ryan out of the gun, motion for 3 WR left. Ryan rolls out to right, looking for Roddy White, incomplete.
