Johnny Lee Higgins with a long punt return for a TD, 90 yards? This guy has looked good all preseason.

On draft day the NFLN said he was a big playmaker, but I figured it'd be more for just ST's. I'm actually liking him as the #3 receiver as well. He plays hard and has some nice hands.

He single handedly carriedUTEP to many wins. I believe he led the NCAAs in KR/PR yards and TDs for most of the year last year. Stock dropped bc of his 40 speed was a little disappointing, but his football speed is elite. Kiffin varified this last week on Sirius.

28 of 32 NFL teams are playing Thursday nite and 75% of players I never heard of...guess these are the ones who might be cut! Hate pre-season late games a waste.

Nate Burleson....

I drafted him last year - of course a HUGE BUST....now this year I drafted DJ Hackett.....

advice to self, do not draft Seahawk WR's.

Burleson is the by far the most improved player on the Seattle roster this preseason. He was a huge disappointment last year. From the sounds I'm hearing from the local beat writers Burleson's injured hand last year was what kept him down. Hand is no longer an issue and its showing. All that said, I still think Hackett starts and is a producer. Nice to see my Seahawks having the problem of too many talented receivers.

Culpepper showing nice touch and decisions with his throws. a contrast from McCown who made questionable throws into coverage a few times.

o yeah &...

it's a TD
I hate that rule. Took a TD away from Hackett in TB last year. Took a TD away from a TB receiver the year before in the playoffs vs WAS. If you have posession and 2 feet it should be a catch, even if it pops free when you hit the ground.

Any hardcore homers know if this Wallace guy has a chance to make the team? He seems to be making a lot of big plays, though often at the end of the game with the rest of the rooks, 3rd strigers and undrafteds.

I've seen drafts where the Raiders D isn't even drafted in the top 15 or so. I think they look like a GREAT value this year. They finished up strong last year, and look tougher against the run this preseason. Great secondary. Whachuthink?

Man, if your league has D combined with Special Teams, then Higgins makes it an even better deal...

Love the Raiders D this year.

As far as their perceived value, at my 14-team draft, was openly mocked for taking them as my second defense toward the end of the draft.

Ultimately dropped them about a week after to pick up Jacoby Jones.

They last about a day on the waivers before one of the guys who mocked me snagged them.

So I think the secret is getting out ...

He's definitely got a chance to make the team. He is an undrafted FA out of UW and he did start the game today, played the whole game, and made a ton of plays in the process. I really hope he makes the team, although I wonder if they will keep 5 safeties since they already have Grant, Russell, Green, and Boulware. Wallace reminds me a lot of Bob Sanders the way he flies around everywhere and is always around the ball.

I was real down on Pep after his 1st Raider game. A little down on him after his 2nd. I'm warming up. I looks like he's stopped throwing everything 100 mph and is making better and better decisions, which should land him the starting job. I was in favor of McCown early on, but am now shifting to Pep. Between the line play, improved QB play and a TOUGH D, this team could get 7 or 8 wins this year (granted, two of those should be the Chiefs).Higgins has looked good all preseason and has a chance to snag the #3 spot as well as return man. He has made Chris Carr expendable (since he can't cover worth a lick).Run D will be much improved w/ Sands and G.Warren teaming w/ Sapp. LBs look good and so does the 2ndary 'till you get too far down the depth chart.

As I have said numerous times, he is what Ted Ginn would love to become. They are equal in size and speed but Higgins is a better WR. Better hands, better route running. Stolen as the last pick of round 3. The Dolphins really look bad getting a lesser player at pick #9.
