Random Thoughts After Week One (1 Viewer)

- SJax washed up,
he's washed up at 25 ???
Funny huh. That one ranks as by far the most ridicolous statement this board has ever seen.
14 carries for 40 yards, he didn't look good at all. The key in FF is identifying the guys that are finished before the rest. Jackson doesn't look like he's going to return to '06 form anytime soon.
I watched the whole game and SJax actually did look good regardless of his stats. The entire Rams offense was having a bad day though.

Are you basing this on his stats for the game or did you actually watch the game? I didn't watch the game so i cannot really offer an opinion. I'm just curious if he really did look "washed up" to you based on his performance or his stats?

So Jackson puts up 14-40 and doesn't look good and Addai puts up 12-44 and you thought he looked good? Looks like pretty similar bad performances from first-round picks although Jackson at least helped his fantasy owners out a little by being involved in the passing game (or what constituted the Rams' passing game against Philly). I agree with you about Jackson. I don't think he'll return to '06 form either. But I don't know how one can look at Week 1 and feel any better about Addai right now than Jackson. Both looked bad in my opinion and both will probably struggle again in Week 2 given their respective matchups.

Addai is washed up too.

after just one game it seems many people are high on M. Turner..

he played against what will could go down as one of the worst defenses of the SB-era, 2008 Detroit Lions..

if he does well against Tampa or Carolina, then you're on to something..but Detroit? c'mon now..

with the next few games being against TB, KC,GB, Car, Chi, Philly, and week 12 against SD, weeks 14-5 against Bucs and Vikes, M Turner has his work cut out for him..

Rookie Qb's make rookie mistakes and turn the ball over way too much...Big Ben and Marino the only exceptions..

once Ryan starts screwing up , and teams begin picking that Atl defense apart forcing Atl into passing more and running less as they trail on the scoreboards, Turner will not have such a dominant role in that offense..

Thing is that Turner ran exactly how those who followed him in college and in SD thought he would. Maybe he won't have 220 yards against Tampa, maybe he'll get 100. But he's for real. He showed power, he showed moves, he showed breakaway speed... what more are you looking for? Even against DET he had TWO HUNDRED AND TWENTY YARDS! It's not like he squeaked out a 100 yard game against a bad defense and everyone was impressed.

My buddy has SJax almost every year, and I hate on SJax every year.. We both watched the game this past wknd and agree - STL is horrendous, but it's definitely not SJax's fault. He looks good, but probably won't be (in my opinion) a top10 back this year because STL is just that bad.

Your success criteria please? I'd just like to have the metrics down for when you'll realize you're way, way off here.

I really think this is Larry Johnson Redux. Talented RB stuck on a terrible team has a long holdout and doesn't have a good season.

My random thought is that a lot of people are going to regret posting their random thoughts a few weeks from now.

David Garrard really impresses me. The spiral of his ball and his accuracy is phenomenal. Too bad the guy doesnt have a single WR to throw to.

Just because he doesn't run for over 1,500yd and pull in 90 rec for 800 yards doesn't mean he's washed up .He's the same age as Addai. Is Addai washed up? What about MJD? Did you declare Tomlinson washed up after the 1st 3 games last season?SJax held out the first 27-days of training camp and sat out all four preseason games and he looked like it but he's not washed up.I guess the term "washed up" is whats bothering me here. Maybe washed up to you is 1,200 yards , I dunno.
