Randy Moss (1 Viewer)

We already saw that nightmare of him changing teams mid-season. Thought Philly was his only hope (if Maclin didn't return).

I'd put the odds he returns this year at 5%

I don't think there's any question.

two years removed from one of the best WR seasons in the history of the NFL.

That was in 2007. He's not only not the same player, he doesn't really care to be. Sure there's a good fishing hole wherever Randy is right now.

This thread just reminded me that we never really got to see what the most freakishly talented WR to ever play the game was really capable of over a full career, because he was a head case and predisposed to slacking off.

:(

From what I have heard, Moss still tried dictating what he wanted and was not willing to come off his terms. Those apparently included playing for a true contender, still being an every down receiver with a shot at being the team's #1, and getting paid as a bonafide top tier WR. It sounds like he may have wanted to play for either the Pats or the Jets and seemingly no one else. It's also rumored that the Pats asked him to come back for the veteran minimum with no signing bonus and some incentives. I don't think there was a team out there that would even come close to his criteria.

IMO, if a true contender has a main cog at WR succumb to injury and go on IR, Moss might consider coming back, but he will have to alter his wish list to get signed. It still seems like it's all about Randy.

Randy is done barring this. No doubt part of him wants to come back prove something but I think he's going to be too comfortable with retirement to bother.

I think he'll wait until week 7 and then pick a team that is leading its division, and then sign for the minimum.
