Now that we know when & where they were drafted, who landed the best?

Ten years from now, which of these guys will have done the most in the NFL?

( I was going to have 7 polls, but the most it would allow is 4. )

Kaepernick- like the pairing with Harbaugh.

Dalton- Just hoping he doesn't "John Beck" it.

Ponder- A Pennington upside isn't all that bad in this QB class.

Gabbert- Not sold on, but he will get his chance eventually.

1. Kaepernick. Great tools(Arm, legs, IQ) to go along with a QB coach guru.

2. Gabbert. Enough IQ to make it plus he also has some nice intangibles

3. Ponder. Seems like a Chad Pennington type of guy that will have a long career but never be a stud.

4. Mallett. Bill will make something out of him. Matt Cassell at the very least

Not saying Cassel is a stud, but if you think that is Mallets floor, should he be above a guy you think might be the next Pennington?

You got to wait so long on him. How many have that patience. And I think Penny career >>> Cassell to this point. I just see bust more on Dalton because no arm. Newton. Just has Jamarcus type behaviour and non NFL game. Locker. Accuracy issue will not be fixed.

Fantasy Points - Year 1:

Dalton (starts immediately, does okay for a rookie)

Newton (starts immediately, does okay given the surrounding cast)

Ponder (starts immediately, does okay for a rookie)

Gabbert (starts several games at the end of the season, does very well)

Locker (stars 1-2 games, does okay)

Kaepernick (does not start - that's right: Alex Smith keeps the job)

Fantasy Points - Year 2:

Newton (starts, but does not show marked improvement on the previous season)

Dalton (starts, does okay for a 2nd year QB)

Gabbert (starts, does okay for a 2nd year QB)

Ponder (starts, does okay for a 2nd year QB)

Locker (starts, does okay)

Kaepernick (starts several games, does better than Alex Smith)

Fantasy Points - Year 3:

Locker (safest long term investment in 4 pts/TD leagues)

Gabbert (safest long term investment in 6 pts/TD leagues)

Newton (highest upside if he ultimately gets it)

Kaepernick (destined for mediocrity)

Ponder (does not improve further, destined for mediocrity)

Dalton (does not improve further, destined for mediocrity)

Looks like, (kinda, sorta, maybe) most people are ranking them in the order they were drafted / listed, with Gabbert & Locker nose-to-nose for the second spot.

I wonder if they are being drafted that way in dynasty leagues.
