Has anyone seen any updates on Rashad Jennings' knee? It seems odd that nothing has come out since the game on Saturday. Any possible updates from Jags fans?

According to Gene Frenette of the Florida Times-Union, there is "some concern" about Rashad Jennings after he was seen on crutches Tuesday.

Jennings suffered a knee injury in last week's game. The Jags haven't disclosed any details on the injury just yet. Frenette casually mentions the possibility of Jennings missing the season opener or even the first six weeks, though that seems premature at this point. Deji Karim would emerge as an important handcuff for Maurice Jones-Drew if Jennings' injury is of the multi-week variety.

I've been trying to get clarification on this for 2 days now and no luck so far. I'm not hearing anything locally beyond the crutches news. The Jags are known for keep any injury news as quiet as possible so it might still be a while.

 
Hmm, this news doesn't sound very good. I had him ranked quite a bit higher than most non-RBBC backups in the league...but I'm thinking that maybe I should drop him for Jerome Harrison (I have Best) or Cedric Benson.

Same here. However I think it best to wait until more info is available first. Jennings is a guy you don't want to let go right away.

How is R Jennings rostered but not Benson ? Can't imagine Benson being on waiver wire in any league.
 
What?...... you guys don't think a backup RB behind a top 5 talented back on a bad team is more valuable than an unquestioned starting RB? What are you guys crazy?!?

 
I guess we will know alot in the next few days. If they make a move for another RB and after we see MJD on the field/ As an MJD and Jennings owner, if Jennings is hurt for an extended period do you think they would let their RB3 step up? Cant remember the guys name.

MJD owners may have to carry both Jennings and Karim.

I dont have a bench big enough to do that. If jennings is dinged for half the season I am dropping him for another player
 
I don't even own MJD, so I am questioning my decision to hang on to him at all. I think he has value if he's healthy, but since no information at all seems to be getting out, I'm kind of stuck in a wait and see approach.

Deji Karim. If both MJD and Jennings miss time Karim would likely get more work than anyone else but it's a mess. Montell Owens, who might also be hurt, would be involved as well as one of the fullbacks potentially. The team might decide to keep DaJuan Harris who could see some time. But I'm not sure any of the RBs in Jacksonville would have any real fantasy value if MJD and Jennings are out.

It's amazing how little information has come out on Jennings. There are so many good options on the waiver wire, but I'm holding out as long as I can to hear the news on him.

Personally, I think it's going to be bad.

Agree, see post 19. i feel like they need the swelling to subside first, just a guess but doesn't sound good IMHO.

Del Rio was specifically asked today if Rashad Jennings was a candidate for IR and refused to answer. That's not completely out of character for Jack as he does like to keep injuries a mystery but....

If Jennings has meaning to your fantasy team keep a very close eye on this situation.

Do you think we will know what the heck is going on before the season starts? I am wondering if I should drop jennings for Karim.
 
I don't see a mad rush to pick people up before 6pm tomorrow on a lot of waiver wires, so I think the move is to hold until cuts are announced.

If I owned MJD, I would probably pick up Karim. Personally, I'm probably going to grab Bernard Scott, Dexter Mccluster, or Andre Roberts, who I dropped the other day for Daniel Thomas (someone in my league dropped him).

It looks like the Jags are prepared to keep Murphy which is not a good sign for Jennings. We'll know soon enough but there continues to be red flags in this situation.
