My Synopsis

Running Back Reach

Darwin Thompons - I had a feeling with Eckler and Duke Johnson going earlier that I had some GM's that were listening to some experts. If I wanted to get him this was my only opportunity having to wait about 18 spots to the next selection. I am full go on KC players and if he busts, it wouldn't be a big issue. Still to select him as my 3rd RB was a bit scary.

Buyer's Remorse....Kind of.

Latavius Murray - The moment I selected him, I wondered what I just did. He has value at the 10th round, but none of my other backups are true contenders in the first few weeks. If Michel doesn't hit am I comfortable with Murray and Kamara. On the other hand, Sean Payton states Kamara doesn't increase his touches, they got to go somewhere. Would you be comfortable with Ingram and Kamara last year? If Kamara goes down, Murray can be an RB1.

Thank you League GMs

Juju, Kelce and Evans are on the board and I'm up next.  If it were Kelce and Evans, I would have had a bigger decision, but he takes Kelce. I'm giddy.

Planting my flag

Kerryon was selected right before me. Not a fan of Freeman or many other 3rd round RBs, maybe Fournette. So it was between Thielen or Brown. Thought about other drafts where  Amari Cooper was a 3rd round pick with Carr. So I went in with the thought that Cooper projection when on Oakland is Brown's floor and that's what I'm paying for. He could be the league winner along with Gurley, Gordon or Bell. At a much safer cost of 3rd and still playing.

So what's up with Houston and Seattle

Easy insurance on both teams. Watson and Wilson can ball out. Houston has a great playoff schedule and if I can get 1 full season between Coutee and Fuller, I'm laughing. Locket will get tons of targets and Metcalf has speed and size.

Thanks for answering mine.

I like your team overall.  I would have made some different decisions than you made, but we all have our own opinions.  I'd have taken Thielen over Brown only because of the circus surrounding Brown.  If he plays all year, he will be a great pick.  I'm just worried he's going to get mad by week three and walk away.

I think Juju is the right choice.  I'm just never high on Bucs receivers.  Again, though...  That's just my opinion.  Obviously Mike Evans has shown he can put up numbers.  Your receiving core as a whole has some decent depth though.

I'd worry a little with Michel as your RB2.  There's just so many cooks in the kitchen over in New England.  Michel may get the ball every down one game and then somebody else might the next game.  I think Murray will be fine.  You'll need him if Kamara goes down and even if he doesn't, Murray should get enough carries to make him at least rosterable.  He may not be quite as good as Ingram, but he's not terrible.  Thompson is a gamble but if it pays off it should pay off big.

Newton should be fine at QB and Cook is as good a choice as anybody else at TE once miss out on the big three.

Running Backs: After the Shady signing, Thompson is pushed back even further. It's hard to see Thompson see much UNLESS Shady gets injured. They'd be silly to sign him and not utilize him. As for Lat Murray, he'll be goal-line dependent and if Kamara doesn't see an increase in touches then there is a good chance it'll go to Murray BUT remember, they just picked up Cook who is another red-zone target (aka on your team too). So it'll be difficult seeing both put up numbers. Try to scavenge the WW for cuffs (if available) or players like Singletary (jumps ahead with loss of Shady). Lastly Michel is a bit iffy - true he is the starter for the Patriots however we really know it's a committee. Upside to Michel their true running back whereas James White acts like their receiving back (Rex Burkhead you can forget). So it's a bit worrying to keep him as your RB2 however you (in a sense) have the more reliable of the two Pat's RB's.

Wide Receivers:Personally, I'm a fan of Thielen - with how he played with Kirk last year there is no doubt he'll put up big numbers; however AB is AB and with a stronger offense this year, I wouldn't doubt Carr targetting AB all day, everyday. But just like jmble said, just hope that AB doesn't throw a tantrum few weeks into the season. Smart pick on Juju. Though Bruce Arians is now the coach of the Bucs and Evans had a 1,500 yard last season, I'm just never that optimistic on Bucs players...so you have a more reliable target/system with Juju and Big Ben. Tyler Lockett will be their favorite WR now so good pick. Fuller is a SOLID pick as long as he stays healthy (and with Houston picking up OT Tunsil, it'll give Watson more time aka maybe target Fuller more). In my opinion, drop Coutee - with the addition of Kenny Stills and issues with his knee, he might not be used much (just not seeing much production out of Coutee). Metcalf is a big player but personally I'm not a fan of having a WR/WR or WR/RB from the same team - just reduces your chances of maximizing points (unless it's a combo such as Thomas/Kamara, Hill/Williams, etc).

Other Positions: Newton is a good pick but definitely pick up a back-up in case his ankle injury flares back up. Jared Cook is a solid pick after the top three (like jmble said).

Overall? I think you're set. Maybe look around the WW for some steals or players that were overlooked. Your WR's are more than set but just look for another back-up RB. If someone like Justin Jackson, Tony Pollard, Devin Singletary - pick them up asap. Good luck!

Thanks! With Coutee banged up and Stills coming in I dropped him and added J.Jackson with the news Gordon ain’t getting a new deal.

really wanted to give it a week, but Eckler isn’t going to move between the tackles that well.  Sucks cuz I really wanted to see Coutee do well.
