Rate This Trade - WHIR (1 Viewer)

10 team PPR, keeper league.   I am looking to upgrade both my RB2 and TE with this single trade:

I give Dez, Forte, and Corey Coleman and receive Olsen, Freeman, and John Brown

My current roster:

Brees, Winston

L. Miller, Forte, Charles, Booker, Yeldon

Dez, Julio, Evans, Sanders, Tyrell Williams, Parker, C. Coleman

Thomas, Ebron

I would also note that this keeper league can be darn near dynasty if things fall your way (as was my case after last season).  I would likely drop Thomas for a cheap 2017 keeper like Abdullah, Langford, or Rawls.    Or a TE such as Green, Brate, etc.

I don't think I would pull the trigger on this if I was you. You'd upgrade your TE but I like Coleman long term more than Freeman and Dez > Brown. I think you could do better.

I don't like the trade talent wise but in the short term it might be necessary if you are trying to make the playoffs.  It would be a huge TE upgrade and you are stacked at WR.  The issue is, is colman for freeman an upgrade?  Looking at the season so far, they are .3 pts apart (99 to 98.7, coleman).  Taking that out, it's Dez and Forte for Olsen and John Brown.  The exception to the trade would be if you feel Dez is on a severe decline.  I haven't been following him that closely but know he's been hurt much of the past few seasons.

You could try a lesser trade or WW for Z. Miller or Hunter Henry.  Or trade Dez/Forte and try to get a better back.  A lot may depend on how Charles does going forward.

Thanks for the replies.  I just realizes there is a significant error in my original post:    The trade involves Cotey Coleman, WR in Cleveland - NOT Tevin Coleman.

So I would be giving Dez, Forte, And C. Coleman for Olsen, Freeman, and John Brown.

does that change anyone's thoughts?

No salary / rounds to keep a player.   We tier our players after the end of the season into 3 groups of 6 each based on total points.   Must keep a minimum of one player from each group, but no more than an allowed point value.   Rookies benefit from a slight reduction in value.

Due to trades, injuries, and downyears, I walked into the draft with Miller, Sanders, Evans, Hilton, Dez, Parker, Yeldon and Ajayi.   I lucked into Julio at the #2 pick when Eliot went #1.

Another aspect of this possible trade is that I would then have 2 additional higher end keeper options (Olsen / Freeman) instead of one (Dez).   Forte would not have factored into my 2017 plans....

I would make that trade.  It is much better near term (since no word on Dez's return and Coleman is still out).

Pulled the trigger on a watered down version of this trade and wondering what folks here think:

I gave Forte / Corey Coleman, received D. Freeman / John Brown

I did not see much value in swapping Dez for Olsen ROS, but really wanted to possibly upgrade my RB2.
