**Ravens at Steelers** (+4.5, 38) 1:00 (1 Viewer)

Zay drop- cost 3-7 points

Agholor drop- cost 3-7 points
Zay falling down wide open on a deep ball- cost 3-7 points

That’s just off the top of my head. Lamar dropped dimes 95% of the game. It should have been 30-5. The throw to Odell was a trash throw but guess what throwing a fade isn’t his game I’m honestly not sure I’ve even seen him throw a red zone fade in his career. And you have him throw it to an old dude who can barely move and hasn’t played in a month- against a 6’2 corner. Make it make sense.
Ah yes, the "it's everyone's fault but Lamar's" defense. Have you been watching the games? Yes, drops have not helped, but he just doesn't look like the same he player he was years ago.
I watch every game. He dropped dimes today. His best game throwing the ball all year. Did you witness the plays I outlined above?

Yep, which is why I said "drops have not helped." Did you miss that part of my post?

How was Baltimore 4-1? They are horrible.

I was in a 4 leg parlay for 1500 dollars, I had Bijan score, Tyreel score, Tamara score and just need a Lamar TD run on the at goal chances.

Lamar sucks. Totally overhyped by the media
Sounds like you’re totally neutral! Ravens outplayed Bengals Texans Browns and Steelers.

”Have not helped” doesn’t quiiiiiite capture it my dude. They didn’t drop 5 yard slants at midfield. They dropped passes in the end zone or dimes dropped 20-40 yards down the field. Left 23-30 points on the field easily. Did you watch? If not go to Twitter and see the evidence.

They dropped (or fell down on) 150+ yards and 2-3 tds worth of passes. Game shoulda been over on.

Agree the game should have been over in the first half. But the Steelers outplayed the Ravens in the 2nd half IMO. Both teams made a lot of mistakes.

The second half included 2 dropped 40 yard passes, a dropped 15 yard pass, and Zay Flowers falling down on a 40+ yard pass. 2 of those are probably tds.

Dropped balls didn't mean they outplayed them..

I am fine saying Ravens should have won, but based on stats, Ravens didn't outplay Pittsburgh.

Lol at dropping dimes all day. The pass that Flowers slipped on looked like a punt.
It also appeared to be right where it needed to be…DIME
Nonsense. He had to try and change direction to catch the wounded duck from Lamar, which is why he slipped.
Lol. It had like 40-50 air yards on it. You hate on the qb for the aesthetics of the throw but don’t think a professional wr should be able to adjust if needed without falling over himself with that much time in the air. Makes sense!

When you're running full speed wide open downfield, and your QB throws a knuckle ball way behind you, it makes it hard to adjust.

That said, ideally he wouldn't have slipped, but it's hardly a DIME. It was a crappy throw.

Meh. In that video you can see he puts his hands down to sprint at his own 47 while tracking the ball. We can hopefully agree the ball is in the air at this point. He goes from one hash mark to the other before having to backpedal to adjust to a ball that landed on the hash mark. He misjudged the depth. Pretty obvious on that video

This is the play. I’ll retract dime (still leaves 5+ dropped dimes). He’s wide the F open to adjust his stride maybe 2 feet laterally with the ball in the air forever. He misjudged it. When it’s Lamar people expect every deep ball to be right on the money. That’s 95% on the wr.
Lol at the guy yelling "Lol this ***ing guy. Did you watch the game?" calling that a dime. Maybe a bit less snark next time?

It could have been caught (mostly because he was soooo wide open), but it was a terrible pass. Just stop already.

See my next post. You still think that? Look at where Zay is when he drops his arm to sprint. His own 47 left hash mark. Ball lands at the 34. 19 yards further. Zay runs to the right hash mark 2-3 yards short of where the ball lands on the right mark. Realized he’s under ran it and has to adjust to it and falls. Explain why he’d run to a spot short with 19 yards of space. He misread it then fell. It happens.

Wait, so the argument is that the team that apparently dropped a ton of balls outplayed the other team? HOT TAKE ALERT.
I think the argument is the Ravens shot themselves in the foot causing them to lose and dropping easy passes for significant gains/tds falls into that category. Obviously catching the ball is a huge part of the game and in that aspect they were DOMINATED. Just think most would put that into the did to yourselves category rather than it being anything Pittsburg did.

II agree, but you did say the Ravens OUTPLAYED the Steelers, which is false.

I feel the Ravens would have won handily if not for making several unforced errors. If your word for that circumstance isn’t outplayed then that’s totally fine with me. I don’t care to argue the nuance of the word.

Drop compilation if anyone cares including several very nice Lamar deep balls. Amazing how many points slipped right through the wrs hands.
Some of those were not drops, but bad throws that the receiver tried to catch and failed (no, I am going to go play by play and pick out each one and dissect it to death). The Agholor drop was brutal though. He catches that and it is 17-3 Ravens and I doubt the Steelers come back from that.

I see 3 that are debatable with the angles given. Agholor and Bateman dropping layup tds were the most egregious. Zay dropping 2 first downs and falling on the deep ball pretty bad. The Bateman deep ball was right there but he short armed it and just totally missed it.

You have convinced me... Lamar the best QB in the league right now and will go down as one of the best passers in NFL history... surpassing Manning, Brady, Marino, and anyone else you can think of.

Good that was obviously what I was trying to do thanks for coming around!

If you're dropping balls all over the field like you guys are indicating, the team dropping them certainly didn't outplay anybody. They made crucial mistakes that are part of the performance of the team. The WR corps exists not in theory, but in practice.

Thus it is decreed, judged, and determined.
