Ravens at Texans (1 Viewer)

So the Ravens lose a HoF player on defense and another likely All Pro DB, torn MCL on another guy, Texans get whacked a week ago and they can't notch a first down on their opening drive.

Meanwhile the Ravens offense takes the field and they are able to run the football and gain a first down to open the game...

We are clearly in a new age of sports medicine. To see Suggs playing like this after 6 months is amazing. I just hope he doesn't have a setback. :knockonwood:

J Jo pick six off Watt tip. Mercilus in on that play for Barwin I noticed. More playing time so far than normal.

Who would have thought the Houston DL would actually look better with mario Williams off the team? Baltimore down 2 TDs early, gotta think Smith/Boldin/Flacco are going to have a lot of game ahead of them to play catch up.

Ravens defenders dropping like flies. What used to be a defense you would sit players against is becoming a must start.

They follow me on twitter, I'm sure I lit a fire under them.

The whole game changed on that punt that got downed at the three. Up to that point both sides of the ball were abysmal for the Texans.

What an INT on that play. Tipped by the D lineman as hes about to sack flacco then the db tips it to himself for the INT. Beautiful pick.

Excellent point

That rule is so lame, they need to start putting some of the onus on the offensive players. Pollard lowered his shoulder at Owen Daniels' shoulder, and Daniels ducked his head right into it. It's like they expect the defensive players to predict the future.

Pollard should have been tossed for charging the ref, what a d-bag thing to do. It was an obvious flag as well.
I don't blame defenders one bit since the league wants them to play with one arm tied behind their back. The official is just doing his job, but you keep seeing flags on every other incomplete pass in the league and it's bound to happen.

I don't know that it needed to be flagged, but it was a stupid play. Pollard had time to see it wasn't caught and avoid contact. Instead tries to make unnecessary contact

A lot of Houstonians knew the $100 million secret: Mario takes plays off, isn't a huge game changer, can be easily double teamed, needs great players and coaching around him to be successful, and is always banged up. Totally not worth that big contract.

i know the announcers are supposed to keep you interested, but just because the ravens scored doesn't mean we suddenly have a game.

they will not score 30 points against this defense. and they can't stop anyone.

It was a good response by them though. Did better with quick passes and giving Flacco some time to get his head in the game.
