Hey Fellow Football Guys board members. Was just curious if you guys thought Ray Rice will be signed to a new deal by July 16th (Deadline to get a new deal or he plays on the Franchise Tag most likely) ??

In my 32 team dynasty league. IF Ray Rice doesn't sign a new deal by July 16th then I lose him next season to Free Agency. (Which would really suck for me cause I paid Roy Helu, Evan Royster, Lawerence Timmons, Morgan Burnett for Ray Rice and Clint Session.

Please you insight or thoughts are appreciated.

I vote yes, but I'm really not that sure. I'd have to imagine that Balt sees themselves as one of the Super Bowl favorites in 2012 and that the window is closing due to some of the aging players on their defense. I don't think they can feel that way w/o Rice, the major focal point to their offense, on the field.

It's really a tough call. I'm really 50/50 on it I think. And here is why. I thought when LeSean McCoy got an extension and Foster go a new deal. That Ray Rice would be getting one close to that and follow suit shortly after that. But it seems like Rice is holding out for more. "I mean yeah I know he has said he wants AP money" Don't we all. But yhey should've found a compromise by now!

Its getting down to the wire. Even amonth FGB staff members there are mixed opinions as far as Ray Rice getting a new deal. Cecil Lammey thinks it gets done right before the Monday deadline. But Bloom is less then optimistic. Man I probably should be trading Ray Rice.

Tough call. Hope Rice gets his new deal by July 16th.

I don't think it matters too much in terms of his value this year. He's got no leverage, so he'll surely play under the franchise tag and still be rock solid. Don't worry about this one and certainly don't rush to trade him.

So you loose a player because he doesn't sign a contract? Pretty dumb in my mind, if that is the case you couldn't trade him for hardly anything at this point anyways.

Do you have a rule if he is late to practice one day where you can't start him for the week or he loses fantasy points?

5yrs/$40 mil

$25 mil in first 2 years.............$17 mil in 1st yr
