Thank you. That sums and clears this up plenty. This is a full blown RBBC timeshare.
Same, except if both are healthy I don’t have a lean despite thinking Walker is the superior player. This is where I've landed- if one of the backs becomes a clear starter they're immediately vaulted to the RB1 status in this offense, but at the moment for your line-up decisions you have to follow the production. KW is a risky buy because who know what's gonna happen week 3, but if I leaned one direction it would be towards him being the season-long play.I don’t feel clearer about anything either. However Charbonnet is mysteriously missing from the passing game as he is a good receiver out of the backfield and walker seems to gobble up all of the receptions. Overall I think walker has better usage going forward but it’s kind of like Atlanta in which charbs may snipe some tds
Wish I had any piece of either, even if just for the lottery potential if the roles clarify or there is injury.

It’s one of the more perplexing situations right now.
Charbs plays more and in more high value situations. More short yardage and passing situations.
Walker is more explosive and despite running less routes has been catching more passes.
Charbs outplayed him week one. Walker dusted Charbs in week 2.
The only constant has been Charbs playing more. I’m hoping week 2 changed that, but I can’t say for sure it did.
It’s possible they view the best way to maximize Walker and keep him healthy is the kind of usage we’ve seen the first 2 weeks.
He was drafted by most as an RB2 and he is producing as such with the upside to be an RB1 like he was in week 2.
Where are you seeing that he has the backfield all to himself ?Looks like he’s gonna have the backfield all to himself this week. Juicy matchup too. Let’s see if he can put some distance between him and Charbs.
Charbonnet is injured and likely won’t play. I mean, I suppose the Seahawks could fill that gap with their third stringer. But, I doubt it.Where are you seeing that he has the backfield all to himself ?Looks like he’s gonna have the backfield all to himself this week. Juicy matchup too. well that’s a mighty convincing argument. say stranger, how big is that sample size?Who was more productive:1 in a row! Interesting to watch some of the victory laps being done and some rewriting of history over the past 2+ years by the usual suspects, but I’ll concede without any reservation that Walker was the better back by far yesterday.
I’m wondering if we aren’t headed to a hot hand approach moving forward.
Go back to last year. Charbonnet had a couple of great games. Did they stick with him when Walker came back? No.
Walker was right back in the starting lineup.
Go back to game 1. Charbonnet was playing better. No doubt.
Yet the coaching staff started Walked in the 2nd half and he was the back on the field when the game was on the line.
I don't know what else you need. It is and always has been Walker when he is healthy.
And who is rewriting history?
You know that SEA has a new OC this year who has a pretty good track record of productive running games, right? Why would what previous OCs have done dictate what Kubiak will do? I’m guessing he’s more concerned with production rather than who runs faster.
Player A had 105 yards and a TD on 13 carries and 1 reception for 13 yards.
Player B had 10 yards on 15 carries and no targets

1 game, you say?
Huh
Of course, I’m just stirring the pot. Can’t risk this topic dying. Two years. Field Yates
Seahawks RB Zach Charbonnet is doubtful to play Sunday against the Saints.
It’s workhorse Ken Walker time
You’re right. Thought owning both was the play and now it’s flip flopped to where walker is the healthy one. Not sure what to expect but maybe 60-70% snaps and 20 touches? Could be walkers best game of this seasonGiddy-up!
As a Charbs owner, too, perhaps it’s better that KW3 and Charbs trade off injuries so that we end up with predictable RB1/ RB2 production rather than the RB2/ flex numbers that result from an RBBC![]()
Yep, and it looks like Charbonnet is back this week. Opportunity lost.Thank goodness for the tds. Honestly looked terribly inefficient otherwise. Had an opportunity to potentially put even more ground between him and Charbs, but 16/38 is really bad.
I will take a floor of 12 points any week despite the inefficiency. Drafted him last year and rd4 this year. His 33+ PPR points in week 4 last year turned my season around after starting 0-3 & I went on winning my 16 team league.Thank goodness for the tds. Honestly looked terribly inefficient otherwise. In all seriousness, what opportunity was lost?Yep, and it looks like Charbonnet is back this week. Opportunity lost.Thank goodness for the tds. Honestly looked terribly inefficient otherwise. Had an opportunity to potentially put even more ground between him and Charbs, but 16/38 is really bad.
I think the point is that his floor is more like 2 points, and he has not looked great for the most part. He should continue to get occasional TDs but can’t always count on that. Have few choices so I have to start him but not feeling great about itI will take a floor of 12 points any week despite the inefficiency. Drafted him last year and rd4 this year. That uneasy feeling everyone has starting him is with me but he is in my flex this week so I believe he is good for around 12+ points.
I have Jeudy and 1st time out this year Addison on my bench so many of us are in this dilemma about starting Walker. Even if he gets 30-50 yards on the ground and a few receptions with some yards he is close to double digits. Any TD certainly puts him in his projected range.I think the point is that his floor is more like 2 points, and he has not looked great for the most part. In fairness he did have two nice runs called back for penalty.Thank goodness for the tds. Honestly looked terribly inefficient otherwise. Had an opportunity to potentially put even more ground between him and Charbs, but 16/38 is really bad.

But I've noticed Macdonald's comments after the last two games have not been overly flattering towards Walker. Not overly negative, just not great.
After the game last week he said we got to "block it better and run it better", said the play call is sound but the execution is not. That's not a shot directly at Walker of course, but when you say you got to run it better who else is he talking about?
After the week two game where Charbs stunk and Walker looked great he really had no praise for Walker, just said the run and blocking on a long outside run by Walker was not good enough and the play should have been a TD instead of a nice gain. But he was quick to come to Charbs defense for his bad game and put the blame on the blocking.
None of this is really moving the meter for me or where I'm ranking them, just find it interesting and certainly don't see any change to this 1A/1B backfield when both are healthy.
I agree both backs are good and the OL is not.In fairness he did have two nice runs called back for penalty.Thank goodness for the tds. Honestly looked terribly inefficient otherwise. Had an opportunity to potentially put even more ground between him and Charbs, but 16/38 is really bad.

I think you answered your own question. Both backs are good to very good. The O-line is and has been bad.
When I read "we need to block it and run it better" I think it is a direct shot at the o-line.
Both of these guys have shown the ability to have monster games when the blocking is there.
Over the last two weeks, Walker has averaged 15.5 touches and 84 total yards as the RB8 in fantasy points per game.I agree both backs are good and the OL is not.In fairness he did have two nice runs called back for penalty.Thank goodness for the tds. I don't agree that MacDonald's comments were strictly at the OL but believe they were also directly at Walker.
I will never start Charbs over K9 if both are healthy. Maybe that's stupid, but I'm playing to win. Obviously if there is a dramatic change in the snap count, i will adjust. Lets not forget this IS a new offense, it should take time for K9 to see the lanes he needs properly, and consistently.Looks like Charbonnet is playing.
Yeah it's very clear who the better back isPretty clear who RB1 is tonight
It … is.Yeah it's very clear who the better back isPretty clear who RB1 is tonight![]()
He needs to be relegated to pure backup. This offense would be better off giving ONE RB all of the touches. Is charbs averaging under 2 ypc over his last 20 carries? Looking like he isnt wven a good change of pace back right now
It's just "Dumb"... i don't know how else to say it... with all the access to statistics, PFF grades, film, etc... it's obvious to anyone with "eyes" that watches the game...It … is.Yeah it's very clear who the better back isPretty clear who RB1 is tonight![]()
Unfortunately; they are giving the ball to Charbs. He’s done nothing with it.
Most RB’s need the ball .. the way they are “managing” K9 just doesn’t make sense
Pretty weak call anyway considering the defender was twisting his ankle like they were in the WWEWalker hasn’t been on the field since he was flagged for “taunting” when he threw the ball at the defender after the whistle.
Coaching staff may not have loved that. I would imagine he gets a fresh start in the 2nd half.

He really needs to ditch his spin move. He usually loses yardage with it, turning a 2 yard loss into a 5 yard loss.FYI I'm Team Walker. He's just the more explosive rb of the two. What will ensure this is a committee for the foreseeable future is he has a handful of wtf runs each week. Instead of taking a 1 yard gain he turns it into a 4 yard loss.
I saw that too, that sucked.Always love to see my guys tap out after a big run to the red zone.
