RB Kenneth Walker III - SEA (1 Viewer)

The Charbs vs Walker debate was fierce here. 109 carries to 23 carries later I guess the debate is over? Charbs is a good hand cuff.
It's more one sided than even I thought.
I was wrong. What a bad pick by Seattle. I gave them too much credit.
Hard to say it's a bad pick. Seattle lost all rb depth. Walker goes down and Charbs takes over then it's a good pick. Ha ha. Drafting him might allow Seattle to move on instead of pay Walker down the road. I was never on the side that said Charbs wasn't a good player. My stance was when both are healthy no way Pete gives this rookie heavy usage. Walker is just really good.
I thought he was being sarcastic because no way was it a "bad pick". Their offense is loaded and they vastly improved their RB2 with him.

Playing much less today. Wonder if his calf is an issue.
Charbonnet taking over down the stretch. Made all the big plays at the end and was in on all passing downs.
For one, Walker got his bell rung and Charbs did very well in the hurry up after that sequence of events.

It's mindblowing why they don't feed Walker more.
It sure as hell is nice to have two young, cheap and heathy RBs right now.

Plain and simple, Seattle was lucky today. Need to feed Walker.
I thought Charbs played pretty well. Could be a sign of things to come?
He did and it only makes sense.

Walker's usage has been higher then they wanted, was believed to be one of the reasons they drafted Charbs was due to how much work Walker got last year after Penny went down. Was 20.5 touches a game before he was injured and was on almost exact pace entering this week, 20.33.

I was worried last week with Walker's calf injury, until I saw a comment from longtime beat writer Bob Condotta that he thought they were just resting him because of his workload(he said this on Thursday, before he came off the injury report). It all seems to check for me. Maybe his calf was a little sore but this all seems more like Charbs is up to the task of allowing them to move forward with the plan they had when they drafted him. Which to be clear is not because they are down on Walker in any way.

I don't like it for fantasy, but again in real world hard to understand why would not start to distribute the workload out more and in real life football their skills sets really do complement each other well.

Will be interested in the SEA practice report today. Walker calf issue.

Walker owners do you have Zach C. as a must hold backup?
I'd like to but he was too expensive because a lot of people thought he would timeshare with Walker.
At handcuff price I was in. Just wasn't there. I'm glad I didn't take him where he was being drafted.

Start of this game today not encouraging for Walker owners. I'm officially getting nervous about a split.
Feels more like a Seattle problem than KW. I'm sure the injury doesn't help.
He's not injured. The entire offense looks horrible.
He had an injury last week and wasn't practicing
He was fine this week. Full week of practice. He's not injured.

Kept my eye on this game. Early on it seemed like he was getting 2 series to Charbs 1. But all game Walker came off on all third downs.

I have no doubt Walker is STILL the guy. The O Line is playing like they did last year. And guess what, Charbs isn't doing any better as some had stated.

Let's just all agree they both suck at this point and time.

Geno isn't helping matters. He's been dreadful.

Kenneth Walker (chest) was a full participant in Friday’s practice and will play in Week 10 against the Commanders.

Walker was a DNP on Wednesday but practiced each of the last two days to close out the week. There’s some questions surrounding Walker’s role heading into Week 10 as he’s been out-snapped by rookie Zach Charbonnet each of the last two weeks, but injuries may have played a factor there. We’ll consider Walker a mid RB2 for this week’s matchup against the Commanders.

Another good game, easily my best redraft value of the year. I don't get to see much of the Seahawks but i'm always a bit confused why they don't use Walker more in the short passing game? I mean he's clearly pretty adept at catching the ball took a short check-down over 60 yards to the house this week.

The man marking him slipped and fell, but it was a thing of beauty to see him hit top speed and just burst through the 3 defenders converging on him.
Love the look of Charbs, runs decisively and has some elusiveness, but that power/speed combo is what they need and they need to scheme him more into space, the way Miami and Baltimore do.

Graham Barfield
Seattle's backfield over the last three weeks
Zach Charbonnet is playing more, but his role expansion is largely on passing downs (60 routes vs. 26 for Walker)
Ken Walker is getting the bulk of the valuable work:
+ 60.3% of the backfield expected fantasy points
+ 70.5% of the RB carries
+ Snaps are 4 to 1 (in favor of Walker) inside-the-10

His upcoming schedule is absolutely brutal for a RB who only plays early downs… SF DAL SF PHI next four weeks. I’ve been trying to trade him aggressively but no one is interested after seeing his schedule. Anyone successfully moved him?

  • Team 1 gave up Dobbs, Joshua MIN QB; Walker III, Kenneth SEA RB; Cooper, Amari CLE WR; Jeudy, Jerry DEN WR; Year 2024 Round 4 Draft Pick (Mid to late)
  • Team 2 gave up Harris, Najee PIT RB; Hubbard, Chuba CAR RB; Lamb, CeeDee DAL WR

Yes.

Moved him, Charbs and Sutton for Taylor and Moss

Wow very nice for you. I see Taylor as a big upgrade. And I'm a Walker owner/fan. But his role isn't great, their line stinks, and the schedule is brutal.

If I was Team 2 I'd be happy with this trade, unless I was woefully weak at WR.

Seahawks HC Pete Carroll said Kenneth Walker (oblique) is not considered a candidate for injured reserve at this time.

Carroll noted that the team still needs to learn more about Walker’s injury before determining how much time he’ll miss, but it sounds like he’ll miss at least one game. The Seahawks only have a few days to get ready for Thursday night’s contest against the 49ers on Thanksgiving, which doesn’t give Walker a whole lot of time to heal up. Rookie running back Zach Charbonnet, who saw 85 percent of the team’s snaps in Week 11’s loss to the Rams will be in line for a big work day if Walker is unable to go. The volume Charbonnet is expected to see would put him the in the conversation as a top-24 fantasy back for Week 12.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport believes Ken Walker (oblique) won’t play in Week 13 against the Cowboys.

Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll on Tuesday seemed uncharacteristically pessimistic about Walker’s chances of suiting up Thursday night against Dallas. Fantasy managers can expect rookie RB Zach Charbonnet to once again work as Seattle’s starter. He had 18 touches — including four receptions — last week against the 49ers. Charbonnet is a locked-in RB2 if Walker remains sidelined.

Kenneth Walker (oblique) is doubtful for Week 13 against the Cowboys.

Walker was always a long-shot to play this week, so a doubtful tag isn’t a surprise. He will look to return in Week 14 versus the 49ers, though, after not practicing at all this week, that’s not a given for the second-year running back. Until he is healthy, Zach Charbonnet will dominate the work in the Seattle backfield. Charbonnet will straddle the RB1/2 border in a tough matchup with the Cowboys’ defense this week.

Seahawks RB Kenneth Walker (oblique) was able to practice on Wednesday.
The Seahawks held a walkthrough, so this is more of a projected participation than anything, but it’s a step in the right direction for a player who’s missed the last two weeks. Fellow running back Zach Charbonnet was also able to go through the walkthrough, but head coach Pete Carroll said it’s too soon to determine if either will play on Sunday in a tough showdown against the 49ers. If neither is able to play, it would appear that Deejay Dallas could take on a bigger role, so it’s worth watching the practice status of both players over the next couple of days.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports Kenneth Walker (oblique) is expected to play in Week 14 against the 49ers.

Per Schefter, Zach Charbonnet is also expected to play. Walker went down early in Week 11 with the oblique injury and has been sidelined ever since. He will likely split the backfield with Charbonnet, handling the bulk of the early-down work but leaving the field for passing situations. A date with the 49ers’ elite run defense isn’t the best matchup to return to, pushing Walker into the RB2 ranks for Week 14. Charbonnet, on the other hand, will straddle the RB3/4 border.
