RB Kimani Vidal, LAC (1 Viewer)

There'll be work when Hampton gets back. Just a question of whether it's splitting a 10/10/80 with Haskins, forcing a 40/60 two-man show, or something in between. Next three weeks will say a lot.

For dynasty, even if Vidal kills it and Hampton comes back as advertised, can Harbaugh be trusted not to add another mouth in the offseason? That might be as big of a hurdle as any to premium handcuff status.
It won't be a 2 man show. It will be more 70-30 split.

Hard to know what the split will be, but seems like Vidal has earned a role when Hampton returns. Not sure Harbaugh even wanted Hampton to shoulder a workhorse role in the first place.

We know the Chargers want to run the ball, thus the reason why they added Hampton and Harris. Now that both are injured, I wouldn't be surprised if they traded for Breece Hall. To not only bolster their RB room, but keep him away from the Chiefs.

You probably know Breece is one of my favorites and really my last standing dyansty RB in one league but he's not the answer for either team. He's still not right. I mean, grab the bag and get your extension and all that, but I can see it. RB is hard to quantify in any stat. It's difficult. It's really that I watched him every game in '22-'23 and he's not that anymore.

Sometimes he is. It depends on the day. Which Breece's knee came to play today?

Sad. His runs in 2022 were among the best ever. Not as good as Barry. Not quite Payton's toughness. But that's it. Nobody outdid was he was like. Emmitt looks like he's stuck in quicksand compared to '22 Breece. It's almost a folly.

Saquon in 2024 also, but nobody ever touched that. That's by far the best and even Barry had to have his jaw drop. I'm actually discounting that because of recency bias in reverse and I dislike the Eagles, but dude got turned around and leapt over a six-footer's head while moving backwards with the dude in an upright (standing up) position! Never, ever even dreamed of that happening.

eta* Actually, stats will tell you the 2022 Breece story. They're ridiculous. Go to this link. Pull down the menu to 2022. Select 50 rushes/attempts minimum. Go to Total EPA and click on it. EPA are the expected points that happen with each play. You can find a very good description here. https://www.fantasylife.com/articles/redraft/what-is-epa-in-fantasy-football-and-sports-betting

Now, EPA isn't totally supposed to be an individual stat because it's team-dependent, but forget that for a minute. If it's that much of an outlier, the indivdual had a hell of a lot to do with it. Check out Breece. He added more total EPA than anybody in the league. That's a total, not a rate stat. Usually, you should get around -0.02 per rush. Yes, that's a minus. Now check out what he added. And then for ****s and giggles, check out ****in' Rashaad Penny that year. That was . . . unreal by both of them and it was NOT because of a small sample size. They were crazy that year.

He tried to beat him to the outside and could have scored if he juked inside, but I wouldn't be overly critical. He showed good vision in finding creases and good contact balance while gaining chunks after the initial hit. The guy has skills and his blocking was excellent last night. Two RB1 performances in three starts for a cheap waiver add. I'll take that thanks.

Might be short lived when the Chargers add Breece Hall. He won’t be expensive. They must play keep away from the Chiefs.

lf a trade happens then you adjust, but until Hampton returns Vidal is basically a good option to have on any FF roster whom was inexpensively acquired in many FAAB waiver formats.

They could play keepaway from the Chiefs for sure, but there is a zero financially sound reason to acquire Breece for long term since he'll be looking for a contract. They already have Hampton and Vidal as an inexpensive and legit future RB room.

I don’t think either will trade for Hall. But I’m wrong a lot

Well, based on pure odds, you would be right more often than not

He had a great game. But talent wise I see him as JAG. He (all Charger RBs) benefit from the threat of Herbert's arm.
LOL for fantasy nobody cares if he's a, in your opinion, JAG as long as he's producing points. :coffee:
It does matter for dynasty though. It also matters for ROS if Chargers decide they need to add, even though Hampton probably factors into that as much or more than Vidal.

Okay for dynasty. Until Chargers add, it's all speculation.

Honestly the way he’s producing, particularly with the pass blocking, it’s hard to see why they would feel the need to spend a bunch of money to bring someone else in. At least hopefully as a happy owner who started him last night. Sent out an offer of JCM for Hampton, which in the absence of a trade deadline move would seem to be a good approach ROS.

I can see the Chargers shutting down Hampton, trade for Hall, then get a compensatory pick next year when he walks. It makes too much sense.

That is a wild prediction.
