RB Match ups to exploit/avoid week 1 (1 Viewer)

I would really like to see Atlanta do worse than a double digit loss season.
As I said, you can lose 10 games with some dignity...hard to do it when you lose 14 or 15 games. San Diego and a few other teams went thru a lot of 10+ loss seasons and I am willing to bet there were years when they felt they did even worse than simply posting a double digit loss season.

Hey friends, I am definitely going to do an update in this thread with plenty of time before the Thursday game and then probably again before Sunday. As always I look to all of you for chiming in and helping as well...you all make the thread worth writing every week. I couldn't spit out my annual tiers thread this season which was disappointing to me but I will be on it with this one every week during the season.

I am wrapped up in redrafts this weekend, but will begin working on this probably Monday/Tuesday.

Just glancing at the first post, I'd say you'll probably be making some major adjustments to your ATL/MIN prediction.

Why? And I just did add an update from a few redrafts I have ha already this weekend.Just for the record, I am predicting a major reduction in the Atanta rushing attack...Vick is gone and harringotn will have a hard time keeping defenses honest...those that are taking Norwood in the 3rd and 4th round are really taking a big risk that I am not optimistic will pan out for them.

Well for one thing, there's no doubt Dunn will be with the team.

:pickle: Look forward to these every week.....

Great stuff, thank you!

If you're running through updates over the next few days, I'd be very interested in hearing your thoughts on the TEN RB situation now that White has been named the starter. I see him up in the Jamal Lewis/Fred Taylor range on draft lists but I'm not convinced. I have him as my RB4 in a league with Lynch as my RB2, but I see starting LenDale against Jax equally as painful as Lynch against Denver.

Looking for people's opinions on possibly starting Fred Taylor in week one against a BAD Titan run defense. Could he be a sneaky play in week one?

Pick one from the following:

Deuce vs Indy

Jacobs vs Dallas

Norwood vs Vikings

A.Green vs KC

Right now I have Jacobs plugged in with Willie Parker, but I might slide in A.Green because I think he explodes against a weak KC defence.

KC's D isn't that bad, but I'd go w/ the guy @ home and IIRC NYG is @ DAL. Actually, Deuce might be your best bet. Good problem to have though.

thomas jones vs. ne

caddy vs. seahawks

mb3 vs. giants

tj not 100% and ne can be tough

caddy...well his caddy

mb3 in rbbc but could get those tds.

leaning towards mb3 since i know he might get me some TD points.

I think Taylor is a nice start. He averaged almost 8 yards a carry against them last season. The problem is, he only got 15 carries total in the 2 games. First game the Jags blew them out & Taylor only carried 13 times. Second game Taylor pulled up lame in the 1st series & didn't return. If the Titans can stay in this game some how, I expect Taylor to do well. I'll probably be starting him in a flex spot.

Why do you need a sneaky play? If you do in week 1, maybe you have a dynasty league team. Certainly Taylor is going to get a workload but I have to say that I am not impressed with how they handled Lefty and I am pushing the jags RB tandem down this weekend.

How many RB will you be starting? What is the scoring perameters? Who else are you already starting?I ask those questions because if you happen to have say LT...you can take greater risks...but if you are starting Portis as the other RB, then I would look for a what you see is what you get type back.I know people are going to get mad and post things like "This post belongs in the AC Forum"...so let me help my MB bretheran out for 2007. Instead of "Pick 1"or "Pick 2"...try and suggest what you have and what the reasoning would be for why you are starting them...this will make for more interest and actually help you out much much better than simply "Pick 1" of these. Let's work together guys and gals and we can have a great season together.

TJ should get the lion's share of the carries assuming he can go.Caddy is traveling 3,000 miles on the road...I like him for 2007 overall but I am a little leary week 1.MBIII...what is the role here? Split carries with JJ...1 series on 1 series off...all the touches inside the 20's? I just don't know yet and I would need to see what they have plannedb4 I would commit.

I still haven't seen the Carolina vs Rams thoughts
I assume you don't need me to tell you to start Steven Jackson right? As far as DBBC which is of curse DeBack By Committee...I hope it doesn't last all year and I think we all know DeShaun is the starter at this point and time no matter what we feel for DeAngelo

Hey MoP, can I post my WDIS questions in here for you?
As long as it isn't I have MBIII and Brandon Jackson, pick 1. I am inviting the board to list their RB and state why they would either start or not start those RB will some knowledge or depth from their side. I don't want to see 29 posts for WDIS...I do want to see people digest their match ups and then share their insights, that way we all learn. Wimer does his thing, I do mine...and what I like in here is the feedback and knowledge we can all gain by the MB.

I'm glad you asked...I will probably lead off the thread during the season with something about this is NOT the WDIS thread.
