RB Rachaad White, TB (1 Viewer)

I think people are probably too high on Bucky extrapolating his end of year numbers across a full season.

Tampa is a really good screen team. White is a great blocker and receiver. I do expect he’ll see more workload than fantasy guys expect considering the differences in their relative ADPs.

White had 1,000 total yards, 50+ catches last year, and still scored 9 times. He’s a weapon in the passing game and a good RB. He’s not going away.
Agreed. But I have to ask, how many shares of White do you have?

None. Just a Bucs’ fan.

Bump.

Why is FBG so high on this guy? I love his value, but they keep bumping him up and up and up.

They have him at RB32 above JCM, Ekeler, Mason, Etienne, Javonte, Tank, etc.
That is pretty wild. I would assume they either really don't like Irving, or really don't like Egbuka, and think White will getting high pass volume while Godwin is out.

Personally, I think White has almost no upside, and a not a real high floor either. If Irving goes down, I think Tucker gets 40% of the workload. I'd have White outside the top-50 RBs, and I don't think he absolutely needs to be drafted.
White is going to get a lot of work and if Bucky went down he’d be the clear #1. Tucker can’t pass block and the Bucs still don’t seem to trust him enough. He was playing in the third quarter in the final preseason game.

Tucker can’t pass block

That is the narrative. Here's a limited real-life sample:
In 2024, Tucker had 48 pass-blocking snaps with no recorded sacks allowed, according to advanced metrics from Pro Football Focus.
Tucker also had 308 yards on 50 carries last year... 6.2 YPC
He led all NFL RBs in rushing EPA/play, min 50 carries.

Tucker is a stud if he gets an opportunity. Josh Williams looked great in pre-season and made the team.

TB arguably has the best RB room in the league.

lol I watch every Bucs game 2-3 times, it’s not a narrative, he gets pushed back routinely. You don’t have to believe me, check his snap counts. He had a huge game last year against the Saints and then didn’t play again for a month.

He’s great when he has the ball though, hope he’s picked it up.

Thx, I believe you. Pass pro only holds the great runners back for so long though. There are plenty of examples. That said, it's hard to be great riding pine, so until he gets his next shot(s) to prove he's elite or not, it's moot. For now, Bucky and Slowshard continue to play ahead of him. Is what it is.

He scored 18.92 points in my PointsPerLifeSaved leagues… unfortunately I had him on the bench.

I was surprised at his low snap share. Had a likely TD on a perfect play call screen but got shoelace tackled. Had a nice carry too and thought he looked fast.

I think they’ll get him more involved.

I have the opposite read on this, where I think Irving is pulling away. Irving was out there for 73% of the snaps, and that number was consistent across rush attempts, routes run, and pass blocking reps. I think Tampa Bay has decided Bucky Irving>Rachaad White in all situations.

Rachaad White in Houston:

10 ATT
65 YDS
1 TD

Scored the game-winning touchdown.

After last night, Rachaad White has passed Bhayshul Tuten for highest russ success rate (67%) in the league.

Bucky Irving's rate is 29%.

White is averaging 6.6 yards per. Bucky's at 3.5. I am crying.
He’s an incredibly solid handcuff, that not many are talking about.

Time will tell in a short period of time if he's only a handcuff going forward.

YPC is almost always better for 3rd down backs than 1st/2nd down backs because defenses usually have fewer men in the box and are assuming pass.

Someone dropped him in my league and I picked him up and i dont even own Bucky. One of the top handcuffs can be an RB1 with Bucky injury and has some desperation flex/rb2 standalone value for bye weeks.

Which is why he has an entrenched valuable role for fantasy football.

Have both him and Dowdle. Starting Dowdle at the moment. The Seahawks D and Bucs injuries are making me lean to Dowdle

This guy has had at least 50 catches every year of his career so far.

These are the games where he has a big chance to explode - I like the odds of this happening today..

Pelissero: Rachaad White expected to get "vast majority" of carries in Week 5.
Sean Tucker fans everywhere continue to be perplexed by the staff’s lack of love for him
We've been told for the last 3 years that Sean Tucker was going to take over the backfield. If he WAS going to do that, he would have done it already. It's time for the Tucker fans to realize that not only is this not going to happen, but also accept his role as the 3rd RB in this offense and as a career backup.

solid backup but definitely not the gamebreaker Bucky is - he'll go back to his role when he returns which is fine but i wouldnt go crazy to get him
