RB Tank Bigsby, JAX (1 Viewer)

If Tank Bigsby--in his role today as a 3rd-year RB for JAX--were somehow dropped into this year's rookie draft in your dynasty league... where would he go?
He actually was dropped in 20 FFPC standard league drafts and his ADP was 3.6 with a range of 2.4 to 4.11.

This would have slotted in as rookie RB12.
Reminder that FFPC is very short rosters (18 skill position players). Fwiw.

So players like Bigsby and the like are end-of-bench players in this format.
Yes that's good to clarify, thanks, but on that same note the bolded is close to an apt description of drafting rookie RB12 or player 3.6 so it's all relative.
OTOH, since more than 95% of the Bigsby owners protected him when they cut down to 14 skill position players, it seems like he is valued higher than "end-of-bench" by most owners.
Very solid point.

Would you trade an early 3rd for him?
In my league, definitely. But our league is probably on the extreme compared to other leagues when measuring the ratio of general RB value to third round pick value. A third is almost nothing here. Several thirds go unused most years.
Do you think he has a chance to be a meaningful fantasy contributor? He'd be my 3rd RB...backup/bye week replacement/in case of emergency. Or does Tuten make him obsolete?

Certainly a chance. Last year he was on the brink of taking over the starting role. I still think Etienne is the nominal starter, but Bigsby did enough to really make them think about going 50-50 or even more toward Bigsby. Tuten is a risk, but he's a far, far cry from a Jeanty or Hampton. Nobody who hasn't played a down in the NFL is a sure thing. Some are close to a sure thing. But Tuten is not. Note that this is not me saying I don't like Tuten or that he won't do well. Just that even the absolutely elite prospects are never a lock, and he's far from that.

TY for your help @eighsse2 but I decided to....wait for it....

Punt

and traded for some draft picks for next year. Barring injury, I think I'm good @ RB with Achane and Harvey but I do need to get some depth. I just decided to ignore what might be a RBBC and figured that I might be better served with extra picks down the road than buying a what would (likely) be a sparsely used Bigsby.

Well, I tried to ... wait for it ...

Block it

But yeah, depending what picks you got and if they carry measurable value in your league, I totally could go for that.

I think the biggest thing everyone is over looking is that Tuten was drafted by this coach and GM, the other two weren't.
It's a very underrated part of fantasy projections. new coaches come in, and it's easy for fantasy owners to assume all players are on level footing. History says the new regime wants THEIR GUYS.
