Realistic stats for Pittman? (1 Viewer)

I'm having a hard time figuring out if Pittman would be a good desperation pickup or not. On one hand he's going against the Brown's run D on the other it could be RBBC, or it could be a shooting match between Rattay and Anderson. Anyone else having trouble with this one?

I'm wondering the same thing...my opponent has Caddy. I have heard that the weather might be bad. Either way Pittman is a recieving threat out of the backfield. Alstott will get goal line, so Pittman will have to break one or catch one to score. My options are thin at RB #2 obviously if I'm consdering this..

Maybe 14-52-0 and 6-35-1 It might be wishful thinking with the TD, though. Anyone else have some thoughts?

Now I think Tatum is the easy call on that one, at least you know what he'll do.

Pittman and Turner are both coinflips to do anything.

Any homers want to project carries and yards for Pittman?

no i dont. can you tell me what he'll do?

During their Superbowl season, Mike Alstott only had one game in which he ran wild. That was versus the Browns.

I put him at about 60 yards rushing and 30 yards receiving and about a 30% chance he gets a TD.
that is what tatum will do?
yep, at least my humble opinion of what he'll do.

better question: if your only way to score points are tds, 100+ yd rushing games, or 50+ yd receiving games, who would you go with

:goodposting: That would put you in my boat my friend!

If Cadillac is out is Graham going to split carries with Pittman or would Grahman just end up with a limited amount (ala Pittman so far this year)?

Basically, would Pittman just take over Cadillac's role?

I will go with 50 yards with a chance of a TD. The Browns defense should play a little bit better at home now that their jobs for next year are at stake.

I believe Pittman got plenty of carries when Caddy was out last year. I would expect the same. I may have to look up his stats when Caddy was out last year?

Edit to add:

Caddy missed 2 full games last season. Pittmans stats those 2 weeks...

10/9@NYJ 13rush-46yds, 7rec-41yds, 0td

10/16Mia 15rush-127yds 1rec-11yds, 1td

Averged 14rush-86.5yds, 4rec-26yds, .5td

This is a small sample size. Based on this you could expect about 20 touches. So you might expect a combined 80-100 yards. An outside shot at a td.

OK numbers if you are hurting at RB.

Good post. When Pittman has gotten his chances as the #1 back in Tampa, he has responded pretty well. He always seems to catch passes when he is playing full-time. I think the most concerning issue is how much does Alstott play. We can assume Alstott will vulture all short TD's.

That = 15.7 and 20.9 for those two weeks in my league. I'd take that any day.I'm looking at the flex spot and have to choose between Pittman, Dayne, and L. Evans. In a PPR league I like Pittman this week.

i'm reading on the bucs boards that pt is up in the air between him, graham, and alstott. looks like i'm sticking with tatum. it does seem like pittman will the the 3rd down back at minimum though, but i guess we already knew that.

Buccaneers :: RB

RB Pittman Gets Majority Of Reps

St. Petersburg Times - [Full Article]

Bucs RB Michael Pittman received the majority of first-team reps at Thursday's practice, according to the St. Petersburg Times. The Bucs are expected to use a committee approach Sunday if Cadillac Williams cannot play, but Pittman looks like the main part of that group, followed by Mike Alstott and Earnest Graham.

That's enough for me to give him a try.

It is kind of funny to look back at Pittman's first 3 years as the starter in Tampa and compare it to Caddy's first 2 years.Pittman - 45 games, 610 carries, 2395 yards (3.93 ypc), 175 receptions, 1465 yards and 13 TDsPittman Per Game - 85.8 yards and 0.29 TDsWilliams - 28 games, 515 carries, 1976 yards (3.8 ypc), 50 receptions, 277 yards and 7 TDsWilliams Per Game - 80.5 yards and 0.25 TDsEven Fantasy Wise, Pittman's best year (192 FPs in 13 games, #16) was better than Caddy's rookie year (162 FPs in 14 games, #19) and that is FBGs scoring. In PPR leagues, Pittman was way more valuable.I wonder what the difference in salaries between the two is. I can't remember Caddy's rookie deal, but something tells me that the ROI isn't there. The #5 pick in a draft shouldn't be underperforming a cast off from the Arizona Cardinals.
