Hey guys,
I'm jumping into my first RSO startup next week, but there are some things I'm a little fuzzy about in their system that I was hoping someone could give me some clarity on (*drink*).
We're currently set to allow (2) 4-year contracts, (3) 3-year contracts and (4) 2-year contracts. I'm wondering if that is the max number of multi-year contacts you can have on your squad for the life of the league? Or does that setting just apply to the free agent draft (startup draft)?
In other words, will I need to cut a 2 year contract player to acquire another 2 year player through trade or waiver claim? And I'm wondering how this affects the 2018 free agent draft of all the 1 year contracts that have expired. Do I get 2 new 4-year contracts in 2018 to use in addition to the ones currently on my team? I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to strategize, but knowing how the contracts work in the future is an important part of that.
Also, if you have learned anything from your RSO experience, feel free to send it along!! Tips, things to avoid, strategies, etc. . .
Thanks!
