Recent 3 round mock I really like (1 Viewer)

As with all mock drafts having the Bengals select Ellis, I approve.

Wouldn't go too harsh on the McFadden pick, though, since he basically figures that it'll be for another team.

I would be truely giddy if Houston ended up with Stewart. After seeing him in person the last 3 years as a season ticket holder I think he is the real deal. Unfortunately I dont know if Kubiak is of the mold of drafting a RB in the 1st round. I guess it all depends on if they want to pay top dollar for a free agent and draft a corner instead.

Alot of mocks have Ray Rice to Seattle in the 2nd round. That could elevate him to the #4 behind Mcfadden, Stewart, and Mendenhall.

Leodis McKelvin doesn't get past 19.Philly would LOVE to get him as a DB and a return specialist.
Bold Prediction:Brandon Flowers is the best CB in this class and a buzz will start soon that won't stop until he is the first CB selected in the draft. McKelvin has some issues. Very exciting player and I saw plenty of Troy the past couple years, but he's not quite on Flowers level. I've seen very little of DRC, and I guess he could grade very high, but I would just be guessing. What little he flashed was impressive. Talib's been overrated for awhile. A year ago I told everyone McCauley would not be a first rounder and Revis was CB1. Talib is McCauley, Flowers Revis.

NO CHANCE Mac goes #1.

Bears would go McKelvin or Williams at 14 instead of RB.

Davis in TEN is interesting with their TEs / FAs

Another Cromartie in San Diego

I hadn't considered Henne in KC - but I like it.

I really like Forte in Cleveland.

How did I not realize Buffalo has B2B picks in the 3rd?

McFadden #1 did it in. I dont even think he will be top 10 and will be lucky to be top 20 after all is said and done

And Houston will go CB. It has some nice talent at the top and this is there #1 priority especially with Robinson not being ready to start next year. So unless they address this in Free Agency, I think you see a CB locked in as there #1 pick. Also can get a RB in the 2nd as a deep draft for them and not much separating 1 to 12.

I'd be surprised if the Ravens took Brohm, no matter the need at QB. I think Clady is the route they'll go.

As a MD fan, I think Erin Henderson would be a perfect fit in NE's defense.

I've seen a lot of Flowers, and he is already ranked among the top DBs this year - and deservedly so.He was a big key to the Hokie secondary this year and outperformed expectations.

As Viking fan, I think that their 3rd round pick might be the most controversial.

Josh Johnson Scouting Report

San Diego QB Josh Johnson Scouting Report

Height: 6-2, Weight: 200, Draft Grade: 57

Strengths: Josh Johnson is another QB prospect who continues to rise in the minds of NFL scouts…athleticism to throw from in the pocket and outside the pocket…continues to develop his footwork…has excellent leadership ability and intangibles…alleviated any concerns about the competition he faced in 2007 when he won MVP honors at the East-West Shrine Game…possesses excellent vision…has the work ethic to continue to get better…

Weaknesses: Lacks ideal arm strength that NFL franchises covet…needs to refine throwing motion…delivery could be quicker…needs work on the stretching the field with his arm…needs to be more consistent when throwing the deep ball…still considered to be relatively a ‘raw’ prospect…will need work on going through his progression and making smart decisions…ran a simple playbook at San Diego…so adjusting to the NFL complex offenses could be a daunting task…expect early struggles ala Tavaris Jackson…

Overall: Josh Johnson is one of the more intriguing QB prospect as we continue along the NFL draft process. He is not overwhelming scouts like fellow small school QB prospect Joe Flacco, but he continues to gain momentum due to the fact that scouts like the combination of his natural skills and intangibles. He has not solidified himself as a top three round prospect, and although it is conceivable, instead expect to see Josh Johnson come off the board sometime in the 4th round of the 2008 NFL Draft.
I always imagined (hoped) that they would draft a QB with a different skill set than Travaris Jackson. I not saying Johnson would be a bad pick since I don’t follow college football closely. Also, I don’t think it is out of the realm of possibilities that the Vikings would do just that. I have to say that I was impressed the way the Vikings evaluated rookie players in the past two drafts. I wasn’t expecting them to take another South Carolina WR in Rice with Williamson already not living up to expectations. Of course, Rice has quite a different skill set than Williamson. Also do most draftniks expect Johnson to go that high?

I can't find Flowers ranked amon CBs anywhere. GBN has him #8, DDaddy and Scott Wright #9. Some sites have him out of the top 10, and I cannot find anyone with him in the top 3, let alone CB1.

Here's my NOT so bold prediction for the Patriots (with their 1.07 pick) - They find a partner who wants Brohm (I'm assuming Ryan goes in the top 6 picks) and trade down.

Can't see anyone...Miami or another team via the trade...taking McFadden at #1. Even J. Jones' hubris knows better. Football is still won in the trenches and there are players at DL and OL that are just that much better at their respective positions, as compared to McFadden at RB.

Not bad Round 1. I'd probably swap Kelly for D.Jackson. I don't think Jake Long makes it outside the top 3 (JMO). Do the Jags really take yet another big receiver??

I pray the Bears don't take Flacco 44th overall. The guy reeks of Andrew Walter to me.
