Manfred seemed more pissed at Cashman for making this public than at the Red Sox for doing it so I'm going to say some light fine is all

It hasn't been said that they have been using cameras, that was actually an accusation against the Yankees (Using YES Network cameras to steal signs). The story isn't fully out yet, but it seems that the Sox were using Apple Watches for communication of stolen signs. The stealing of the signs isn't illegal in any sense, it's the usage of electronic equipment that is frowned upon.

The best thought I've heard on this is that it was an advertising push by Apple.
