Redraft PPR, Pick 1.03 - Which RB & why? (1 Viewer)

I'm intrigued by this - why would you do that?
It may be my choice if 1.02 goes Kamara (which he may do) so I'd be very interested in your reasoning.

For me it's a much better O-line. Better weapons = more GL opportunities.
Also, and I think this is overlooked often in fantasy, Dallas will be playing meaningful games.

As you said, the guy with the first pick is taking CMC. As for the second guy, there is no way he takes anyone other than Saquon or Zeke. I don't care what he says. When the time comes, he will take one of them. Your job is easy at this point. You simply take the other guy. It really is that easy. Having the 1.3 pick is the easiest decision this year. It's even easier than having the 1.1 IMO.

I wouldn’t take Thomas over Zeke either but Thomas did very well with Bridgewater under center and this season they have an even better (for fantasy at least) backup QB in Winston. Winston might actually increase Thomas’ production.

this dude is squirrely. He is also the winningest FF manager I know. If he says he’s considering Kamara, he’s definitely considering Kamara. It is very possible I’m choosing between EE & Saquan.
EE seems safer. And as @Payne Said, DAL should be playing in meaningful games deeper into the season.
I’ve been mocking & the teams where I’ve gone RB-WR-WR have consistently been my best rosters. At 2.10 I’ve been regularly getting:
• ARob
• Golladay
• Moore
And the last few mocks I’ve seen Evans fall to 2.10 as well, who I’ve long been higher on than most, but with recent reports of the chemistry/fit with Brady I’m not sure if he makes it to me.
Then if one of those dudes, or JuJu makes the turn I’ll be loving my start.
team 1 may well go CMC/Kittle/Mahomes or something - i’ve seen it before and he’s the kinda dude to do it. That would leave me some nice options at 3.03.

If you knew right now you could get either Saquon or Zeke at 1.4, you could trade down and get a bump later on. Many people think there is a decent drop after the big three, and I bet the guy drafting right after you agrees.

I’ve tried 5 mocks taking Kittle at 2.10
I’ve hated every single resulting team. Either my RB2 or WR3 sucks every time. And that also has downstream effect of having my RB3 & WR4 being even worse.
i was thinking about starting a topic about that strategy to see where folks are with “elite TE” strategy.

To be clear, I'd rather have one of the Jones' than either tight end. Just doesn't seem they fall all the way down to 2.10 too often. And I'm still fleshing things out, but I think I can figure out how to build a competent WR corps cheaply. Come back in round 3 with Carson knowing 5 of my next 7 picks are WR's. Something like AJ Brown/DK Metcalf/Fuller/Manny/Reagor. I like those 3 week 1. I like having Manny as a contingency should things go awry with one of them - namely, Fuller. With Reagor in the holster as a potential in-season breakout. Is it risky? Sure. Will your lineup look pretty week 1? Nope. But every season goes sideways somewhere. It never goes how we drew it up in August. Fair to say this coming one, especially. It's nice to set it and forget it at one position. Until they get the covid anyway.

Probably Emmanuel Sanders. I'm targeting him in the subscriber contest. What he did last year was phenomenal when he was healthy. At eleven bucks, you could do so much worse.

I will commence sacrificing chickens and goats to the gods of FF to hope that happens in my league. I doubt it will, but I’ll hope.
maybe it pays off - CEH could conceivably be a top 2 FF asset.
i typically play is a bit safer. Unfortunately so does the dude picking 1.02 in my league so I guess I’ll spare the chickens and goats. Mmmmmm birria.
