I own Austin Collie in one redraft league where I am contemplating cutting him. It's a 12 team auction. I am 1st in points and in first place but in this format rosters are thin and RB's are more valuable (No flex, start 2/2).
Meanwhile, Collie is still a top scorer despite the time missed and if he gets back he may step back into his old role plus get some of Clark's targets keeping him as an elite end of season stash. On the other hand, if he's gone long enough Manning will simply move on with Garcon, Gonzalez, White, Tamme, etc. That's a lot of if's when I'm already deeper at WR than RB thus my dilemna.
So I am curious what others are doing with him if you have a similar setup. Obviously if you are in a deep league and Shipley is your best free agent it's obvious but where Roy Williams, Britt, Jacoby Jones, and other WR3's with upside are available yet the best RB's available are averaging 30 yards a game the decision is tougher to not try to stash a lottery ticket and/or back up your stud RB.
Trying to keep this from a WDIS but for those wondering I'd be picking up Snelling for Collie as I own Turner (someone cut him last week for their own by crunch) or instead going for a lottery ticket like McGahee, BScott, etc or swapping him out for a WR3 with upside. I just don't have another cut given the roster requirements of this league and I'm fairly happy with Nicks, MWilliams TB, and MWallace when you only start 2 with no flex in a non PPR that's actually yardage heavy. At RB I have Gore/Snelling/Blount and could move on from Tolbert or Starks but again I'm so thin at RB it's a tough call.
