Reggie Brown (1 Viewer)

the hairy scotsman

Footballguy
There was some talk of him having a limited role last night against the "Boys. I didn't get to watch the whole game. Did he get in?

I'm looking for input & impressions from you Eagles homers on how he's coming along and what his role will be when he gets back.

Really appreciate anything you have!

Thanks!

He was inactive Monday night.

I've been holding him as a potential starter after losing Colston, but I'm starting to worry. I drafted him knowing he'd be out Week 1, but I thought he'd be startable by Week 3. He should be the best TD threat the Eagles have at WR, and there are plenty of TDs to go around in Philly. We'll see I guess.

Between he and Curtis, who's the one to go after or hold at this point?

At first it seemed like Brown would be the best to own (given that he'd be back in a shorter amount of time) but his injury seems to keep lingering and with the rookie and Westbrook playing well, they don't need to rush him back either.

I think Brown is easily better than Curtis for this year.

Curtis's role is being admirably filled by D Jackson. Curtis won't be rushed back, & I also don't think he'll fully recover this year. McNabb has sports hernia surgery & took over a year to be decent again. I see him being the WR3 in the slot after week 9 or so.

Brown's replacement is Baskett, & who's been invisible except for the fluke long TD. He practiced most of last week, but I'm glad they held him out, he should be near 100% for week 3. I think Brown can be a high-end WR3 with McNabb playing like he is.

I was a Curtis owner last year, and Brown was the guy to have the 2nd half of the season.

So what your saying is... Hold on to DeSean!! Nice

I would agree that the sports hernia is a tough one to just jump back from.

I more scare tissue that forms in the area the more aggravating it is to run, let

alone make cuts. I'm sure he's actively rehabbing to minimize that but all in all

it will be an ongoing issue til the start of next season.
