Reggie Bush RB or WR for SOS (1 Viewer)

It seems to me that the value of Reggie Bush for any given week should be measured against the SOS (strength of schedule) of the passing DEF and therefore WR instead of the ranking of the opposing rushing DEF.

Week 13 Bush faces TB which looks to be good matchup for a RB but a poor matchup for a WR.

How do you think Bush will perform this week under this scenario?

I think he's probably going to be on my bench this week behind some of my other close calls like AP, Ryan Grant and Kolby Smith.

Interesting thought, but I do not agree. Since Duece went down Reggie has averaged 14 carries and 7 receptions per game, so rushing attempts are 2-1 (based on receptions and he should have a high target/competion %). Couple that with the fact that he is much more lined up in the backfield and taking more traditional RB routes vs. split out facing a CB or S, his receptions are less susceptible to the things that make a passing D great (good secondary and pass rush). It's easy and quick to get him the ball via the air, so I do not think the attributes that can lead to a great passing D will really slow down his receiving.

I think the biggest affect on him this week will be the same as last 1) how healthy is he and 2) how close is the game. if 1 is iffy and 2 is not close, it will be like last week and they will taper off his work load. But, if they need him to win, he gets a regular load. That's the risk with Reggie recently.
