Reggie Bush status (1 Viewer)

Does anybody know when he's coming back? is it time to add him back to our rosters?

he was supposed to be out 4-6 weeks, week 6 would make it 4 weeks I think...

All I've read is that the Times-Picayune (New Orleans newspaper) reported yesterday that Reggie had said himself he was anticipating a return in Week 7 vs. Browns, with Week 8 vs. Steelers at the latest. In my opinion, I think they'll try to keep him out of the Browns game if at all possible, start easing him back in Week 8 and/or Week 9. Their bye is Week 10.

I picked him up this morning off WW simply because I've got the bench room to hold 1 player, and I was currently holding Steve Smith (Carolina). He'll return around the same time as Reggie, maybe a game before, but with Clausen in and no sign of Moore coming back this week I don't trust Smith to be effective, so I swapped an injured Smith for injured Reggie. I'd say if you want him on your team, you might be able to wait until next week to pick him up, depending on how savvy your other owners are. I know a guy in my league that would snatch him up if he had the bench, so I wanted to make sure and beat him to it.

yeah someone just picked him in one my leagues, probably cause i was chatting with him and I told him how his team sucked...lol anyway... in my other league he's still avaialble.

Looks like he is not startable until week 9, unless you're desperate. So with the bye, you get him 1 of the next 5 weeks.

well, don't really have much space... I'd have to drop Tate or Fred Jackson... i'll wait another week and see if he's still around

Just speculation here but my guess is they hold him out til after their bye as long as they are winning without him.

It seem slike Reggie always tries to come back early and either gets more seriously hurt or never preforms 100% due to playing hurt.

I think the Saints learned last year to take it easy on him during the season and "save" him for the postseason as long as they have the luxury to do that.

Have you seen Fred Jackson's Schedule? He has maybe two weeks the entire rest of the season with good matchups. Tate is no big loss either. I would definatly hold Reggie

Anyone think Bush will get back on the field for week 8? I didn't see the Cleveland game but I can only imagine he would help out their struggling offense.

If he returns versus Pitt this week, does he warrant flex status against the Pitt D or is he a wait and see?

depends, as a pure runner I would say yeah keep him on your bench but reggie is a kick returner and Wr as well in this offense. His game could be exactly what the Saints need against the Steelers.

Sounds like he has been cleared to play:

Reggie Bush (fractured fibula) said he has been cleared to play and is preparing as if he'll make his return in Week 8.

Bush added that X-rays show his fibula has healed nicely. He claims he is close to 100 percent, but he's yet to test the leg in live situations. We'll know later this week if a Week 8 return is indeed likely. Bush will go back to his passing-down role and could see more carries while Pierre Thomas is out.

If Bush is healing he could be a great target. They need him desperately and he should see at least nine cpg spelling Ivory. Heck, McFadden did it, maybe Bush is finally ready to make good on his potential?

Whats the latest on Bush? :lmao:
Sean Payton said on 870am that the team is optimistic but guarded regarding the return of Reggie Bush this week. He will test the leg in practice this week so watch for updates on how he is doing. Sean Payton will give you as little detail as he is required to do so basically no one knows or will know until Sean Payton gives Bushes status. I imagine he will be listed as questionable right up until kick off even if he is 100%. Thats Payton for you.

NFL Network's Jason La Canfora reports that Reggie Bush (fibula) is "very doubtful" to play Sunday night against the Steelers.

La Canfora hears that "it's looking very bleak" for Bush's chances. Bush is able to run, but still can't practice. With Pierre Thomas (ankle) also likely out, Chris Ivory is setup for another start at tailback. After struggling in Week 7, he won't be a fantasy option against Pittsburgh's No. 1 run defense. Pitt's D probably makes Reggie wet himself thinking about them. He probably lacks confidence in the leg right now and would rather wait a week to face Carolina than look the fool in primetime against Pitt.

Profootballtalk.com reports that Reggie Bush (leg) isn't expected to return until Week 11 at the earliest.

Bush's fractured fibula has healed more slowly than expected. Although the former Trojan has been medically cleared to run, he hasn't been given clearance for practice. He was given a four-to-six week timetable to recover, but Monday marks the six-week point. Bush owners will be forced to wait close to another month for the RB3. Unless you're desperate for fantasy playoff depth in a PPR league, Bush doesn't get enough touches to warrant the roster spot.

bush/pierre done for the season as far as ff relevance.

ivory should be considered a top notch ff play going forward. top 15, not stud but definitely starter material.
