Ren's old crypto thread || we know how to buy this stuff now (1 Viewer)

Bitcoin "core" is propaganda bull####. It's just bitcoin
Not really.  The Core developers turned bitcoin into an utterly useless speculative vehicle.  They did this so Blockstream could make money with patented offchain tech.  And censored the #### out of key bitcoin discussion boards.  That isn't bitcoin.  But screw that Roger guy anyway

is FC still patting himself of the back for calling this whole cryptocraze bat#### crazy, shady, and risky?

That shtick is never going to get old.

Runs into thread where people are openly joking about how crazy this whole scene is, yet having fun dipping toe in it:

"THIS #### IS CRAZY!!!"

You don't say?

The $5k that everyone laughed about and just lit on fire could've been used for a nice donation to a foundation that would do something meaningful with it

Jerseyguy, where you from? My money is on one of the following: Brick, Toms River, or Point Pleasant.

Is the guy who posted a photo of his $20k AMEX Bill bragging about how much cash he and his wife piss through ACTUALLY lecturing us on doing something meaningful with an entertaining $5k lottery pool?  Is this real life? :lmao:

Screw foundations... this is way more fun. Plus :mansion:

It was $35k, and I donate more than my fair share to charitable causes...

The great thing here is you're the same guy who has bragged about all your stupid worthless watches. Why didn't you just donate that money? They could have found something meaningful to do with it?

My phone already has a clock on it. I took the money I would have wasted on a watch, which would have been redundant, and donated it to needy kids because I'm not some kind of jerkoff.

BTC market dominance is down to 43.7%. I think the previous low was 37%. I see a lot of BTC truthers pointing the finger at Ver but the truth is I think the transaction speed/fees is the largest contributing factor.

I'm picking up a 116500ln Rolex (white dial), dealer said I should have it next month... No shtick, if you can walk into a store and buy it for MSRP, I'll give you an extra $3k on top of what you pay for this worthless good if you buy it at MSRP, which Rolex dealers have to sell it at. Should be the easiest $3k you ever make in your life. So, the next time you walk by a Rolex dealer, ask them for that reference number, buy it, and make $3k the same day. (I'll make you the same offer for a 326934 blue dial)

I buy these worthless watches, wear them, and when I tire of one, I sell it, usually for more than I paid... However, apparently they're worthless.

Unfortunately nobody on this board understand watches (actually prob a good thing) bc this is the ultimate buffoon comment for anyone that understands, obviously not expecting that here, so go ahead and crack your jokes.

You guys seem fascinated by watches as everyone loves bringing them up, really should do some reading first - I'm sure your hobbies are also profitable

I can't express how little I care about the watch collection of a guy I'll never meet. My only point is we all spend our money on what we want, for most of us this is inconsequential amount of money, yet you are breaking down the door to talk about how crazy it is. You're the one who is fascinated/obsessed here.

I'd have to find it.  I'm at work now and don't have the links readily available.  It was some degen ffa forum (probably 2+2), might take a bit of digging.  My real thought is Bitcoin is super stable and probably never going to go down from where it's currently at.  Once Bitcoin hits 10k I think it's going to get a huge amount of mainstream media attention (even more than it is now).  Someone is going to be #2 in the market and the barrier to entry is lower for lightcoin so I could see a lot of people moving into it.

My plan is to invest 2k or so into lightcoin and if I end up losing it in 5 years it'll suck but it's not a jump out of a window loss.  If it ends up solidifying as a stable currency, I don't see it ever going down and could end up jumping from $35/coin to some ludicrous number by the time I plan on retiring in 20 years.  Could end up being F U money.
Riding this train...

Bought 2k worth at $34

Now:

$306.40 USD (-4.79%)
0.01988290 BTC (3.15%)

Not selling until it's high enough to pay off my house (if it doesn't crash before then).

Thanks, ren. I'm just wondering about the political subtext of it all.  Seems like the bolded is exactly what I was asking. It seems like you're saying people are holding crypto because of a gov't monopoly on currency, which is declining in value.
Just join our cult already rockaction

The creator sold....why wouldn't you?
Like I said in my OP... If I lose 2k, it sucks but I'm not going to be homeless.  But I'm looking for F U money!

In all honesty, I am still a big believer in Litecoin.  Super fast transactions lends well to ecommerce (and brick and mortar eventually) and I think LC has the best potential to be the "winner" if Bitcoin bubbles.
