The San Diego Union-Tribune reports Philip Rivers may have suffered a partially torn MCL in Sunday's win over Tennessee.

Rivers had his right knee rolled on early in the second quarter Sunday and didn't return until the start of the third, after having the knee wrapped and a large brace placed on it. The Chargers initially called the injury a "sprain," but will take more tests on Monday. Rivers is expected to be limited in practice this week, and may be in danger of sitting out against Detroit. Norv gives his press conference in 2 hrs, we will know more about Rivers, Merriman, Jamal Williams, etc then.

Anybody think that the play that he got hurt on was slightly dirty? Or at least deserved some sort of penalty? It was a toss sweep and it seemed like the d-lineman hit him way after he got rid of the ball. The announcers just brushed it off, but to me the lineman has to be responsible for realizing the ball is long gone. :football:

No, he burst through the line, got pushed a little by an OL and his momentum carried him into Rivers. PR needs to keep his head about him and watch out for that.

this could mean gates and chambers could actually have value!
Gates is the #1 TE in the league, and Chambers doesnt have any value because he sucks.
Chambers has actually looked surprisingly non-sucky with the Chargers. No drops that I can remember, and some impressive catches.
A lot of impressive catches. Really surprised by his work over the middle. Has assumed he'd just be going deep all day to open things up for Gates/LT underneath.

I agree, I thought it was a useless trade when it happened but I've been impressed so far. He did have one drop IIRC, but I can't remember when. But then again, everyone drops every once in a while.

:boxing: Freddie Mitchell, Mike Williams and Charles Rogers have no value.

Chris Chambers has value.
Point being is OP is blaming Rivers for Chambers haing no value, when it is Chambers fault for his lack of value.
 I'm not following here. Chambers has been pretty good this year, don't know why anyone would say he has no value, in fantasy or real life.

I heard that Gates and Rivers may be out this week, both are dinged up and SD plays the lions this week. Great for LT owners this week with both out possibly!!!
