I'm reading about Willis McGahee being pumped up to play against his old team this weekend, and that fantasy owners should expect a big week as a result. Maybe I'm crazy, I'm concerned that the Bills defense will be more pumped up to stop McGahee and he might struggle a bit.

My thinking: McGahee wanted to be traded and got his wish. Why should he be mad at the Bills? In contrast, McGahee insulted the city of Buffalo (indirectly insulting the Bills). So shouldn't the Bills be more motivated to play against Willis?

And I think it is fair to say that anger and aggression benefit the defense. They may run faster and hit harder as a result. Willis may "run harder", but he may be less patient and miss his holes. Advantage: defense.

I'm not saying that McGahee isn't a good start this week (he's got a nice matchup), but I don't think FFers should be bumping him up because he plays his old team. They may even want to bump him down.

P.S. I haven't heard much mention of Welker going up against his old team this week. Again, I don't think it makes much of a difference. The reason to start Welker, if you need to, is that he's going up against a weak defense.
