RG3 not Clicking with Fred Davis TE (1 Viewer)

Hey I just traded to get Fred Davis in a Dynasty League cause I was tired of not having hope for Zach Miller and Housler anymore.

So my question is this. Fred Davis has the Top TE 10 Upside with his ability and size. He is tied for the team high in Targets. But We aren't seeing the results. If RG3 is a top 10 QB like a lot of the FF community believes he is. Then RG3 and Davis have to start clicking sometime soon right.? You look at the top QB's and they all have TE's they use a ton. RG3 has to get that soon right?

Brady- Gronkowski

Brees- Graham

Rodgers- Finley

M.Ryan- Tony Gonzalez

Just hoping things change soon and fast.

I read somewhere that RGIII didn't have great numbers with his TE in college. WAS might also like to keep him in for the protection.

Yes...there is already a thread about this.

But here is the perplexing thing about all this!! If he is getting 4 and 5 targets a game. Means he is getting open somewhat and is part of the game plan somewhat. So I would think that this translates into results or TD's if the trend continues right?

Read the Grantland pieces on how WAS has adopted parts of the Baylor offense. It doesn't use TEs as receivers at all.

So if this was true why is Fred Davis even getting targetted 4 and 5 times in week 1 and week 2.??? Something just doesn't add up. I think they are trying to connect but it just hasn't worked out yet.

So you asked a question even though you already made up your mind what the answer is?

Targets through week 2:

Fred Davis: 9

Aldrick Robinson: 9

Santana Moss: 8

Josh Morgan: 7

Pierre Garcon: 4

Roy Helu: 4

Leonard Hankerson: 3

Niles Paul: 3

Evan Royster: 3

Brandon Banks: 1

Dezmon Briscoe: 1

Logan Paulsen: 1

Davis has had a couple drops and Griffin has missed him a few times as well, but I would expect his final efficiency numbers to fall in line with the rest of the passing game over the course of the season. Odds are he won't get the target numbers he did last year (over 7 per game in 2011), but he is still an integral part of the offense.

Because he's being used as a dump off outlet for Griffin and when he's REALLY underpressure and has no time to go downfield he throws it at Davis' feet.
