RGIII (1 Viewer)

Yes b/c of the rushing TD's. And Luck will be close behind. I personally don't think the whole 'sophomore slump' thing applies to these two guys.

No way RG3 is top-5 next year.

Defenses have already begun to slow him down, and he really has garbage for weapons. Even with Garcon healthy, Washington will need to add 2 more decent WR/TEs for him to get close to top-5. He's also not the most likely to play a full 16 games either.

I'll let somebody else draft him in the top-12. Probably the same dreamer who took Newton there this year...

No he will not unless Brady, Brees, P.Manning all turn a magical age where they fall off a cliff. No he will not unless Ryan stops his progression in Atl. No he will not unless Rodgers gets hurt. No he will not if Newton gets over his mental issues. No he will not if Luck continues at his pace in Indy. Top 5 is a possibility. You never know what's going to happen. But if we were betting, I'd say no. I'd say QB6-7. If you can get him next year as QB8-10 off the board, you got good value. If you take him as QB5-6, you may be overpaying. QB7 seems about right.

He is presently QB#3 in our scoring so I say yes, he can certainly be top 5 next year. He has been slowed a bit the past few weeks and I don't know that I expect him to be top 5 but that would seem reasonable and if he is not he should be darn close.

I've watched this offense closely on a weekly basis and the above comment is incorrect. He has continued to show pinpoint accuracy with great decision making and if anything has improved from the first few weeks. The problem is the amount of drops (11 in the first 4 games and 15+ in the last 2) and the defense not being able to get off the field (currently 28th). I do agree if Fred Davis leaves 2 more weapons are needed but if not a reliable WR2 would help this offense tremendously. He can be a top 5 fantasy QB.

The Redskins will get Pierre Garcon and Fred Davis back healthy. In addition Leonard Hankerson will be going from his 2nd to 3rd NFL season, which is the year that a lot of WRs make a big jump. I agree with you that RG3 is a risky pick though.

Anyone that says there's no way RG finishes in the top five in 2013 simply isn't watching the games. RG is known for his running ability, but he's a fantastic, accurate pocket passer, too. His receivers drop a ton of balls, and the offensive line is getting beat consistently.

His value will depend on what WASH can surround him with. Unfortunately WASH = Snyder so who the heck knows. They don't have #1 picks for the next two years and the salary cap issues loom. He is talented but will need some help to be top 5.

If his WRs quit dropping passes and the defense becomes even average, he'll be top 3
So who does he knock out, Brady. Brees or Rodgers?
He's currently top 5 THIS season (some scoring formats), so the question may be, who will knock out RG3? :)
RGIII is only top 3 or 5 right now because he is one of the last to have his bye week. At least in the leagues I'm in. He will likely be out of the top 5 bye the end of this weekend.

On a side note. Fred Davis probably won't be ready to play till Oct 1 most likely. And on top of that is a Free Agent. The TE situation will be interesting for RG3. As Logan Paulsen, Fred Davis, and Cooley are all Free Agents next year.
