RIP Lemmy Kilmister (1 Viewer)

Pouring out one as we speak. As Hetfield said, Lemmy IS rock and roll and will forever be.

This one really sucks....

Add Orgone Accumulator from Hawkwind's Space Ritual and marvel at how good Lemmy really was on that bass.

Saw them at Fenders Ballroom in Oct . of 1986......there was an adjacent bar to the ballroom. Can't remember the name....but I went in for a beer and there was the Legend standing at the bar...a half hour before showtime...shook his hand and thanked him for his metal greatness....

RIP Lemmy :headbang:
I did the same at the Marquee in Wardour St, London, when I was there watching Girlschool. Also ran into him on the stairs behind the stage after a Motorhead gig in Bolton, UK, when the dry ice machine went berserk and no-one could find their way out of the place. I think that was 1977-78.

only been 2 days and already lemmy is on the second page.

i read today he was diagnosed with a very aggressive cancer two days before his death.

my guess is he went out on his own terms after hearing that

Been pushing my band to cover doctor rock.

They are big motorhead fans but want to cover orgasmatron.

Ill keep working on it

As long as your version of it doesn't suck.
Orgasmatron or doctor rock?

Looked up some orgasmatron and there are a lot of bad covers by prominent bands. We can certainly do a better version.

Ive never done a motorhead song before but it should be right up our alleys.

Doesn't matter. Just don't let it suck or Lemmy will rise and kck your butt.

Every single New Year's Eve since 1988, I've played "Doctor Rock" at the stroke of midnight. Didn't matter where I was. I even bribed DJs to play it. I've only missed a couple of years - once in Times Square, once on the Vegas Strip. Other than those, it's started every year of my life since I was 16. I'll be blasting it extra loud this year.

Queue this up on YouTube, link to your best speaker(s), mute the TV and hit play at exactly 11:59:19. Bonus points if it pisses someone off.

Fast Eddie... saw him with his band Fastway opening for Maiden in... 84 maybe? That opening riff for Say What You Will will always be a definitive 80's metal sound.

Seen them a few times in the that 83-85 timeframe.  Think I seem them open for Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, and AC/DC.
