RIP Robin Williams (1 Viewer)

His stand up but about golf is one thing that always sticks out to me. So funny.

Good Morning Vietnam, Mrs Doubtfire, Good Will Hunting, just so much greatness.

Sad that people feel that they need to end it all when they have touched so many peoples lives in a positive way.
The end of that special where he goes off about how we look going down on the ladies had me crying.

I would put Ben Aflac the duck up there with him. Very versatile. Can also turn a room upside down in no time.

Kidding, of course.

Williams was my favorite. Got to see him at the Hermosa Beach Comedy and Magic Club on a random Sunday night, as a surprise guest. It was the hardest I ever laughed.

Just looked up people who attended Juilliard school that we might know working today:

- Morena Baccarin (2000)

- Christine Baranski (1974)

- Jessica Chastain (2003)

- Marcia Cross (1984)

- Kelsey Grammer (1975)

- Val Kilmer (1981)

- Kevin Kline (1972)

- Eriq La Salle (1982)

- Laura Linney (1990)

- James Marsters (1984)

- Mandy Patinkin (1974)

- Christopher Reeve (1975)

- Ving Rhames (1983)

- Kevin Spacey (1981)

Those are the names I could make out from just reading them. May very well be more from the Wiki list though.

Chatsworth High representing - Spacey and Kilmer

I don't think Christopher Reeve does do much work anymore.

It takes a lot of work to keep someone with depression issues continuously focused on the positive. All it takes is one slip-up or a missed cue that this time it's different.

It sounds like he had a big support network, but I imagine there were very few that could actually get in his head and help him on a regular basis.

Yep. I've dealt with depression. One time a bad fantasy draft sent me into a funk.

His wife just put out a statement that he was battling early stages of Parkinson's.

I had a friend at work about 7 years ago find out he had cancer... so he went out in his back yard and put a bullet in his head.

When I first heard Robin committed suicide I immediately thought of my friend and wondered if Robin had just learned he had something.

New HBO doc is pretty good.  Pretty good balance of tribute and pointing out the flaws.  Kind of curious that neither his 2nd nor 3rd wives appeared (I don't think).  Hard to believe that it was already 4 years ago.

Do wish it was longer, though maybe I was spoiled by the Garry Shandling one that I just finally finished over the weekend.
