A preponderance of bass.

In the overall Parthenon of movies I would say a 7.

Throw in the nostalgia factor (which I normally don't like doing) it moves up to a 7.6.

And by nostalgia I don't mean "oh I loved it as a teen!".

I mean that it was a pretty good portrayal of 80s teens...or at least the rich kids.

I don't think I've seen this one. Is Rebecca Demorney a call girl that Cruise hires?
No, she's his nanny, but it turns out she's evil and wants to have sex with Cruise's dad and tries to kill his mom. At one point she gets away in a speedboat with $2 million in bearer bonds, but Danny Glover busts her just before she reaches Cuban waters.

4/10 imo, not very much nudity but great music.

One of Cruise's better movies because he wasn't "Tom Cruise". Beyond that it's a fun, well done 80's movie with terrific score.

This sounds like The Hand that Rocks the Cradle meets Lethal Weapon 2.

Plus it has one of the better character actors of the 80s-90-00s in Joe Pantoliano plus Curtis Armstrong who is great

I've got a trig midterm tomorrow, and I'm being chased by Guido the killer pimp

Also, it doesn't get more early 80s than this

It was great the way her mind worked. No guilt, no doubts, no fear. None of my specialties. Just the shameless pursuit of immediate gratification. What a capitalist.

Risky Business is a vastly underrated 1980s coming of age movie that sadly, people almost solely remember for the "dancing in the underpants" scene(although iconic.....it's kind of lame).  Great soundtrack, well writen dialogue that holds up today..... It's a little yuppish.....but what wasn't in the 1980s?
