A fixed destination with a car full of people who don't like being in it isn't my definition of road trippin'. Been there, done that. But then a real 1969ish-type road trip, with lots of fresh pavement, jocular company and a bag of weed is pretty hard to organize these days.
Wife and I leave Weds morning. Driving from Omaha to Raleigh-Durham (daughter is flying in there), then on to Camp Lejeune to pick up my son. From there it's 2 hours south to Myrtle Beach where we'll spend 4 nights on the beach and boardwalk. (hopefully the weather is better than last year)
