Harry Douglas told reporters Friday that he is confident teammate Roddy White (questionable, knee) will play in Week 15 against the Giants.
"Hey man, how many games has he missed in his career?" asked Douglas, rhetorically. Reporters replied zero. "There you go," added Douglas with a laugh. White was in a nearby locker-room stall, laughing as well. Although White didn't practice this week, we fully expect him to get the start against the Giants.
Why would you say that about the matchup? (translation--what have I missed?!!) At least in my league scoring the Giants have allowed the 12th most points to opposing QB's for the season. On the other hand--something has happened--they have improved from allowing 24.79 ppg over the season to 19.61 ppg against Rogers, RGIII and Brees the past three weeks. With both Ryan and White on my roster it's a painful time to have to sit 'em.

Well historically ryan has struggled with the Giants. Their pass rush gives their oline major problems and Ryan does not handle that pressure well. Plus, Ryan has slowed down and only had 2 multiple td games over the past 6. With Roddy white and Douglas hurt, I just don't see a great day for Ryan

Studying trends...some already old news I'm sure. Ryan this year really is a lot weaker at home than away games. In this particular scoring system he's averaging 19 ppg at home (with only one game over 22 pt)and 31 ppg away (with no games less than 25 pt). Dome related? Maybe--check Julio's numbers; they seem similar. Healthy or not.
Roddy White on the other hand scores exactly the opposite. Home games he averages 14.6 ppg including that 2 point stinker against NO, while away he's averaging 8.5 ppg.

Prince probably won't be able to go for the Giants. That means the rookie Hosely will be the 2nd CB and will probably have safety help all game against whomever he's covering. That would mean Webster would see single coverage against his man. It would make sense to put Webster against the ailing White, if he plays. And put the double coverage on the healthier Julio Jones. Rolle or LB Williams will take Gonzo in the various packages. Rolle will also be taking the slot receiver in nickel packages. Safety Phillips is likely out but that is not as much of a concern since Will Hill has knocked off the rust from his suspension and Brown who's been a magnet for the ball will be handling the safety spots.
What he's saying is it doesn't matter how tough you are if you are truly injures. Harvin is considered tough as nails too, and yet he got injured. Toughness sometimes has nothing to do with it.
